The ALCS--The Oakland A's vs. The Detroit Tigers

This really is an interesting team...

2 very similar teams built around their pitching...

Normally I'd give the edge to the A's...

but you have to wonder here...

The Tigers blew out the Yankees...

and as good as the A's played...

    I don't know...make the call...

Detroit will win the ALCS. They've snapped out of it just in time. Similiar to what the White Sox did last year.

Yeah...but the White Sox were blazing going into the playoffs last year...if I remember correctly...

        Detroit certainly wasn't...

but the buzzkill they made of the Yankees leads me to believe there may be something there...

Unless you believe the Yankees were overrated?

The teams that pitches well wins.

I like the Tigers in 6 games, they have major momentum.

Verlander and Zumaya ... damn impressive, but Rogers pitched one helluva a game, maybe second all time to his no-hitter.

I really...really think this series is all about momentum...

                can Detroit hold onto it...

                can Oakland snatch it away...

84 was the shit ... everywhere you went ... radios ... all through the workplace and in stores ... during the 35-5 starts ... all season long ... and into the series ...

Gibby going deep off Gossage .... Sparky telling him, "They don't wanna walk you!"
