Why does this band never get discussed?

That is one of my all-time favorite songs. I fucking love W.A.S.P. even if Blackie Lawless is an asshole.

You gotta love 'em, but I think they are one of those bands that should have quit by now, if you know what I mean.

Anyone remember the "Decline of Western Civilisation II: The Metal Years" where Chris Holmes downs an entire bottle of Vodka whilst sitting in the pool?

In the early 80's, they were up there with the best of 'em.

(But I always prefered the Crue)

In terms of why they don't get discussed, I suppose its cos they only have two songs that are really seens as classics ANIMAL (Fuck like a Beast) and L.O.V.E....

Shame...

Because they`re totally irrelevant.

They`ve been throught the same career cycle twice.

1984-1993

W.A.S.P. (Shock/gore album)
The Last Command (Shock/sex album)
Inside the electric circus (Sex album)
Live...In the raw (Live album)
Headless children (Serious album)
The crimson idol (Concept album)
Still not black enough (Failed Blackie solo album)

1996-Present

KFD (Shock/gore album)
Double live assasins (Live album)
Helldorado (Sex album)
The Sting (Live album)
Unholy terror (Serious album)
Dying for the world (Serious album)
The crimson idol...whoops...I mean The Neon God Pts 1+2 (Concept album)

I`ve got all these CDs and the last really good album they made was "KFD", and that was because it was produced with a more modern sound (for the time). "Unholy terror" has some great songs but on the whole it is a rehash of "The Headless children". If I never hear any of "Helldorado" again it will be too soon.

I think they would be a lot better if Blackie let someone else co-write and produce the material as everything he does comes out sounding exactly the same, from the background vocals to the arrangements of songs.

He`s worse for it than AC/DC.
