In August I went nuts on Jimi Hendrix. Found enough rare footage to fill two DVDs.

Ah yes, the "Dirty Mac". Possibly the greatest supergroup ever assembled, even if their existence was all of 15 minutes.

I only wish they had brought in Entwistle on bass, and had Keith play guitar, trading leads with Clapton.

But as it is, it worked out great. At least for this song. I usually skip over the "jam with Yoko screeching over it" thing.

This is a band called "Indigenous". A blues-rock band composed entirely of Native Americans. Unfortunately, they aren't very well known and it's probably easier to find their CD's at a pow-wow than it is a record store. Spread the word about these guys!

Last week-end I loaded the whole "Checkerboard" set, including more songs with Muddy and even one with Buddy Guy... It's on "the mule". Highly recommended. :cool:

On "25x25, the Continuing Adventures" (1989), Keith tells about the Stones coming to Chess Studios, in 1964 or 65, at the time when they played nothing but blues greats. When they came into their studio, Muddy Waters, "the king of the blues, was repainting the goddamn studio..."

Back then nobody would care about bluesmen, even Muddy Waters himself... The "Black Buddha" had to do that for a living! :eek: :mad: :confused:
