Little Richard... One of the voices of the 20th century.

I happen to dislike homos - those whose job is to be gay...
Little Richard belongs to the very small club of the most awesome vocalists/entertainers. I feel most high when I play one of his records, and as much respect and admiration as I can for him.
Thanks America for Elvis, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Ike Turner, Johnny Kid, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, etc, etc...
Not to mention the bluesmen of this earth. :)

Little Richard came and play in a town near Lake Geneva last May or June. I just couldn't be there, and it tortured me for weeks.
There are artists who go way past real, and Little Richard is among the very few who do.

My my my... "Good Golly Miss Molly"! Can rock 'n' roll sound better?

BTW, it was the general sound control on my PC... though I never changed it. The mysteries of computers.

Saw him at Memphis in May this year and he can still hit the notes. The sad part was him talking about selling his posters and he would autograph them after the show between every couple of songs. Kept pointing to where to go and they were about $15 or $20. Kinda sad to see him hitting people up at this stage in his career, but they never made any money back in his time.

Great thread Elvis.
I remember hearing him for the first time when I was 5. His voice and energy roared outta the speakers. Still listening to him . Like classic VH
his best stands the test of time.
Fruit cake or not the dude rocked.
His flamouyancy and showmanship was ahead of it's time and has influenced so many greats after him. Hendrix and Prince being the most obvious.....
Just listen to "You keep a knockin, but you can't come in" then listen to "Rock & Roll" by Zeppelin !

Damn...I had thought about maybe going to Memphis for the festival....

I GLADLY woulda shelled out 20 bucks to meet him, if only for a second!!! Small price to pay for all the entertainment he has given me over the years....
