Well, there is always one common answer to that. Steve probably wanted a change so cutting his hair was a start. Remember, people don't always keep their long hair forever. Eventually, it is gonna come off sooner or later.

Sebastian is the coolest rocker I have met! He was so thrilled with the 8x10 I gave him he handed it to his wife and told her to take it out to the towncar! He signed the copy above for me. This was after the J&H show in NYC where I managed to get my crappy seats switched to HOUSE SEATS which was like .... up front reserved for performers friends and family and he performed mostly at that end of the stage! He first walks out to his "mark" onto the dark stage and the lights come on and he looks at us and smiles ... probably thinking ... "That's the crazy character from a month ago in Orlando! How'd he get to sit in the same isle as my wife!?" Afterwards was when I gave him that pic! I thought I had posted this story with the pic but I guess not!?

He's a cool shit. Used to bump into him back in the club days in Toronto around '84.'85. He's a major CVH fan. I remember sittin on a road case backstage at The Gasworks with him drinkin beer 'n sharin a doob havin a laff at my buddy (whose band was opening for Kid Wikkid) doing pushups before he went on. Why was it funny? Dunno,musta been the weed.:D

As for Vai cutting his hair. Who gives a shit, as long as he can still rip...
Saw Vai playing with Zappa Plays Zappa 6 months ago. Still a motherfucker on the guitar,as always. His singing is coming along well too,btw......
