They're only commercials. Why get so pissed off about it? The bands (or in Hendrix's case, the family) made money. The commercials are amusing. Pretty much harmless.

I have no problem with any of them.

I actually liked the Hendrix one. Yes it seems kinda disrespectful, but it was the family's decision. Van Hagar one was ok, in that it actually puts a terrible song to good use. the KISS one sucked because the song sucked. The one i have the most problems with is the Queen commerical. What kills me is that the surviving bandmembers ok'd Pepsi Pepsi to piss all over their OWN legacy for a chunk of cash.

I liked the one a few years back...with G.I. JOE stealing Barbie from Ken...while CLASSIC VAN HALEN was playing on the toy car stereo!!!

Advertising is the speck of shit of communication.

It can but harm rock when it uses it to sell anything else than records or stereos.

Records... Not that sure, as whenever they release a new compilation of Queen, for example, it gets any dumbass think he'll actually get "the quintessence of", or whatever silly shit they'll call it this time... :rolleyes:

Amongst this period's parasites, I rank advertisers at the top, together with insurers, estate agents and bankers. The top four of today's official, organized robbers IMO. :cool:

I was watching TV yesterday, and a Nissan commercial came on where they were playing the first part of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man".

Now I have seen everything.
