I've been gone since April.

I have read maybe a few times, random threads without signing on. But rarely.

What did I miss?

I mean anything...board shit, the Sheep Pen, anything...

Well...the most obvious you've no doubt noticed.....

We've been incorperated into the DUMP...which is now the ROTH ROMPER ROOM....

Arielle handles the ARMY'S trash now....she is the new "dump Mistress".......;)

Other than that...some bitching & moaning aboot us being here at all...."The PEN is tired, irrelevant, self-serving, etc etc etc.......

In other words "business as usual"..........

We're still cunts......no changing that........

I was around when the PEN was moved.

I know a lot of you may not like hearing this, but I gave it my blessing. It was done for a reason...and not to fuck with us.

I am not sure what to make of all things Pen at the moment...but it certainly isn't my place to make calls on it.

Yeah, some of the other stuff is same ol', same ol'...

But if the Pen is to exist, it really needs more of a cause.

Something real.

Something relevant.

Something new.

Just my take.

Some have lost interest, some have "out-grown" the Pen & "groups", some have simply moved on..................

I'm actually in favor of a bit of downsizing, personally.

I'm going on the line, right here and right now, and I'm going to say it, for whatever it's worth, and let the chips fall where they may:

The Sheep Pen does not really merit it's own forum. If it remains a forum, that's cool and I won't argue; but I HONESTLY feel that, with things being the way they are, we're much better situated to downsize this thing into the single thread, and get back to basics. It's less of a drain on the site, and what we discuss around here really doesn't need more than it's own thread.

Honestly, I feel having an entire forum dedicated to the Pen is really a waste of the Army's resources. We simply don't get enough traffic to merit a full forum - we did, once...now we don't.

That's just reality, no harm, no foul, and I have NO problems whatsoever saying that. At once, I would have, but a few months of distance has given me a fresh perspective on things.

I love the Pen - always will - and there will be more "Sheep Pen Admins" in the future who hopefully have as much fun with it as the past (and present) staff do. But I do think it's time to cut some dead weight around here, and essentially...the Pen is directionless and dead weight. Keep the main Sheep Pen thread and we can have just as much fun with that as we do with the forum.

I'm absolutely for what's best for the site, and my personal opinion is that a Sheep Pen forum really isn't in the sites best interests anymore.

That's my two cents, honestly and truthfully, and hopefully it doesn't piss anybody off or "disillusion" anybody about my dedication to the Pen and the site in general. I just want to see what's best happen for everybody concerned.
