For Illegal Aliens, Crime Pays - and So Do We

Many decent Americans will be outraged and shocked by FSM’s second-in-a-series of reports on illegal immigration and how it is contributing mightily to destroying America, as we know it, from within. Read this truly riveting report on exactly what those who want open borders do not want you, the person who is funding all this crime and societal horror, to know. Turn your outrage into action! Go here and chew out your Congressman!

For Illegal Aliens, Crime Pays – and So Do We
    The Editors
Except for when an illegal alien does something horrific - such as when an illegal alien killed Denver Police Officer Don Young, or another murdered Los Angeles County Deputy David March, or another dragged his girlfriend to death behind his car - we rarely hear that these crimes are committed specifically by illegals. This is due to two factors: first, illegal aliens are often silent on family violence and afraid to report crime within their communities. And second, the mainstream media seem to go out of their way not to inform us, as they rarely make any distinction between crimes committed by US citizen perpetrators or those committed by illegal alien perpetrators, and this is an egregious violation of the press’s mandate.
While the murders of Officer Young and Deputy March and the recent horrific dragging death were national news, few know about illegal alien Cornelio Rivera Zamites who molested and then strangled to death defenseless four year old Esmerelda Nava, yet such things happen more frequently here in America, each day.
In perspective, crime is actually down, and since 1993, violent crime has been trending down. These results are due mostly to a corresponding “get tough” policy with its increased expenditures resulting in a large increase in the adult correctional population and a dramatic surge in the number of illegal aliens incarcerated over the same time. In any case, despite what the mainstream media reports, or doesn’t report as the case may be, there is also a strong correlation between illegal aliens and crime, as illustrated by the following map:
We suspect that if California were spilt in two, southern California would be in the top category as well.
While the vast majority of illegal aliens are decent people who work hard and try to make a better life for themselves and their families, it is also a fact that a disproportionately high percentage of illegal aliens are criminals and sexual predators. That is part of the dark side of illegal immigration. When we allow the “good” illegal aliens into America, we get the bad ones along with them. The question is, how much “bad” is acceptable and at what cost to us, literally and philosophically?
To get to the answer, this next section will concentrate on crimes committed by illegal aliens against people, even though we do not mean to minimize the tremendous devastation these crimes wreak upon Americans and society in general. Some of this information is very tough to read, so fasten your seatbelts.

An example of a rapidly growing crime with high illegal alien participation, causing many months if not years of misery for the recipient, is something FSM has reported on before, and it is identity theft. See the GOA’s report IDENTITY FRAUD – Prevalance and Links to Illegal Alien Activity and Identity Theft is a Serious Immigration Issue. Additionally, there are a plethora of other criminal activities with a high illegal alien participation, including crimes involving methamphetamine, cocaine, prostitution, home invasion, auto insurance fraud, life insurance fraud, food stamp fraud, mortgage fraud, auto theft, drug trafficking, and prostitution, and of coursecounterfeiting documents.

As detailed by Edwin Rubenstien in Criminal Alien Nation, criminal aliens of all stripes are a seriously growing threat in our homeland. In summary, he reports:
In 1980, our Federal and state facilities held fewer than 9,000 criminal aliens. But at the end of 2003, approximately 267,000 illegal aliens were incarcerated in U.S. correctional facilities, as follows:
    · 46,000 in Federal prisons
    · 74,000 in state prisons
    · 147,000 in local jails
Approximately 27% of all prisoners in American federal custody are criminal illegal aliens. The majority (63%) are Mexican citizens, although this is mostly due to the fact that the vast majority of illegal aliens are from Mexico.
In fiscal 2004, the Federal govt. spent $1.4 billion to incarcerate criminal aliens. This total includes $280 million of reimbursements made to state and local governments under the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program [SCAAP], but SCAAP funds cover less than 25% of the full cost of incarcerating criminal aliens, leaving the balance of 75% to be picked up by the local jurisdiction. It is worth noting that all costs are ultimately funded by you, the taxpayers.
As documented in Illegal Alien Crime Wave in Full Swing, in April 2005, the GAO released a report on a study of 55,322 illegal aliens incarcerated in federal, state, and local facilities during 2003. It found the following:
    · Of the 55,322 illegal aliens studied, researchers found that they were arrested a total of 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien
    · They were arrested for a total of about 700,000 criminal offenses, averaging about 13 offenses per illegal alien.
    · 36% had been arrested on at least 5 prior occasions; 22%, 2 to 4 times; and only 12% once.
    · 49% had previously been convicted of a felony: 20% of a drug offense; 18%, a violent offense; and 11%, other felony offenses.
    · 56% of those charged with a reentry offense had previously been convicted on at least 5 prior occasions.
    · 81% of the arrests occurred after 1990
    · Defendants charged with unlawful reentry had the most extensive criminal histories. 90% had been previously arrested. Of those with a prior arrest, 50% had been arrested for violent or drug-related felonies.
One of the problems in identifying on a national basis the involvement, and maybe even more importantly the over-representational involvement, of illegal aliens in crime is that no one tracks it as a particular demographic statistic. As noted in Cop murder spotlights crisis of killer aliens -No government agency tracks crimes by illegals, not even attacks on police no one really knows how many illegal alien criminals there are and many simply fall through the cracks.
Hampering our ability to identify exactly who is committing the crimes, interestingly, as noted in The Tarpit blog, Hispanics/Latinos, by far the largest component of illegal aliens, become “White, Caucasian, or Other” predators in Arizona. The same thing in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New Mexico, and probably other states as well. In any case, we have not been able to find anyone who tracks criminals by resident status on a national basis. Given the seriousness and brutality of the crimes, and massive participation by illegal aliens, it almost seems as if the various government agencies and mainstream media do not want the taxpayers (i.e., you) to be informed.
How big a problem is it? Far greater than you know.
The public costs of incarcerating aliens are trivial alongside the carnage they impose on their victims and their families. The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants in the United States,by researcher Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute, reports on the analysis of 1,500 violent crimes from January 1999 through April 2006 that included serial rapes, serial murders, sexual homicides and child molestation committed by illegal aliens. Schurman-Kauflin concluded that, based on a figure of 12 million illegal immigrants and the fact that more of this population is male than average, sex offenders among illegal aliens are a higher percentage than sex offenders in the general population.
The author states that the illegal alien population includes 240,000 sex offenders – a “conservative estimate,” she says. She goes on to say, "This translates to 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sexual offenders coming across U.S. borders illegally per day." She points out the 1,500 offenders in her study had a total of 5,999 victims, an average of four victims for each sex offender and says, "This places the estimate for victimization numbers around 960,000 for the 88 months examined in this study.”
Schurman-Kauflin breaks down the 1,500 cases reviewed this way:
    · 617, or 41 %, were sexual homicides and serial murders
    · 525, or 35 %, were child molestations
    · 358, or 24 %, were rapes

Of the child molestations, 47% of the victims were Hispanic, 36% Caucasian, 8% Asian, 6% African American and 3% other nationalities. In 82% of the cases the victims were known to their attackers. "In those instances, the illegal immigrants typically gained access to the victims after having worked as a day laborer at or near the victims' homes," she says. "Victims ranged in age from 1 year old to 13 years old, with the average age being 6."
In her examination of the sex-related homicides, Schurman-Kauflin found the most common method was for an offender to break into a residence and ambush his victims. Not only were victims raped, she said, but some 6% were mutilated.
"The crime scenes were very bloody, expressing intense, angry perpetrator personalities," she said. "Specifically, most victims were blitzed, rendered incapable of fighting back, and then raped and murdered. The most common method of killing was bludgeoning, followed by stabbing."
Nearly 63% of the offenders had been deported on another offense prior to the sex crime, the study showed. There was an average of three years of committing crimes such as DUI, assault or drug related offenses prior to being apprehended for a sexual offense.
Schurman-Kauflin concludes that illegal alien criminals “gradually commit worse crimes and are continually released back into society or deported. Those who were deported simply returned illegally again," she says.
As can be seen from such studies, many criminal illegal aliens are not your casual law breaker. Most are recidivists – such as career criminals like Juan Leonardo Quintero, who was deported after being convicted of indecency with a child, but who later came back and then just recently killed a Houston cop in cold blood, leaving a widow and five now fatherless children. Many of the crimes are gang related with the growing Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) being notoriously brutal in carrying out its criminal activities.
The economic burden which career criminals impose on their victims, including loss of income and property, uncompensated hospital bills, and treatment for resulting emotional and psychological trauma – has been estimated at $1.6 million per property and assault crime offender! This does not include the personally devastating impacts upon their victims and their families.
Excluding the potential sex offenders from the Schurman-Kauflin study, nationally it is estimated that 80,000 to 100,000 illegal immigrants who have been convicted of serious crimes still walk the streets. For this group, crime pays.
The numbers actually underestimate the impact of criminal illegal aliens as the data do not include:
The costs of criminal aliens for whom states and localities are not reimbursed under the SCAAP program.
Criminal aliens who have become citizens are not included.
U.S. born criminal children of illegal immigrants are not included
As noted by Heather Mac Donald in a 2004 article, The Illegal-Alien Crime Wave:
    · In Los Angeles, 95% of some 1,500 outstanding warrants for homicides are for illegal aliens. About 67% of the 17,000 outstanding fugitive felony warrants are for illegal aliens.
    · A confidential California Department of Justice study reported in 1995 that 60% of the bloody 18th Street Gang, estimated membership at 20,000 in California, are illegal aliens. Police officers say the proportion is probably much greater. The gang collaborates with the Mexican Mafia, the dominant force in California prisons, on complicated drug distribution schemes, extortion, and drive-by assassinations, and is responsible for a number of murders, assaults, or robberies every day in LA County.
    · The Columbia Li’l Cycos gang, which uses murder and racketeering to control the drug market around L.A.’s MacArthur Park, was about 60% illegal in 2002, says former Assistant U.S. Attorney Luis Li. Frank "Pancho Villa" Martinez, a Mexican Mafia member and illegal alien, controls the gang from prison, while serving time for felonious reentry following deportation.
We could go on (and will in future days), but this recounting of some of the horrors brought to us by illegal aliens should ignite enough American interest to fight very hard to control our borders.
It is a hopeful sign that many state legislators are taking matters into their own hands and enacting laws to protect their state’s citizens from such heinous criminals as those in the illegal alien community, to say nothing of the potential terrorists who are among them. Lacking leadership anywhere in Washington to protect ALL American citizens is not hopeful, and must be rectified at once. Let’s get moving!

    STAGGERING numbers!

When I was working at my little town's PD, illiegal immigrants did make a high number of "guests" we'd get. We found several problems with the American Judical system in our experience.

-Finding the right people on warrants et. al.
Our system hold only a First, Middle, and Last name. In other countries (especially Hispanic countries) people have up to 5 words in their name. So we'd end up with many variations of one person's name. Made it difficult to prove that you had the correct person.

    -Fear of the police.
In most of their countries, having a run in with the cops is a really bad thing. So, they do whatever they can to get away from the cops whenever they can for fear of being beaten, or just disappearing. They don't fully understand our legal system which just makes matters worse for everyone. Illegals tend to run more. People tend to forget that cops are just people and they get scared too. Scare a cop and you might get pepper sprayed or even shot.

    -Ignorance of the law.
We have so many laws on the books that the culture barrier causes a huge problem. Not our fault though when they come here without doing just a smidgen of research to find out how to stay out of trouble. Unless of course they came here to commit crime, then they'll use every tactic including ignorance of the law against our system.

All my life I was thinking is was easier to identify a person with two last names instead of just one

not if your name is ..."Bob John David Martin Smith"

        No hyphenations.

        You can go by:
        John David Smith
        Bob Martin Smith
        David Martin Smith
        Martin David Smith....

        You get the idea.
And not to be rude, but can you guess what the "physical description" is when it's a Hispanic male?

You guessed it, "under 6ft., dark or black hair, brown eyes, dark complexion"

Now don't you think it would be hard to be sure you had the right person?

You mention 5 different names......that normally will be from 5 different people.
also the description is so vague that can be used for a black man.

How do you think in an hispanic country describe their suspects? I'm not sure how it is but for sure the description will contain more details because that one you used will describe the whole country.....and the nearest contry too.

On the other side, with just one last name you could have
David Smith (the one that live in north street, Funland, NY)
and David Smith (the one that live on 3rd street, Funland, NY)
which one is the David Smith you need? and how many David Smith's could be in the same state?
Now if you use the 2 lastnames as other countries and one of them is David Smith Hilton and the other is David Smith Lohan then you can discard some of the suspects from the start.

note that I'm not saying that one option is better than the other or that English naming is wrong....just describing a possible use for that long names

If we stay on the current course, we will become just like Iraq with a civil war fueled by religiouse and ethnic differences. You will have a big incompetant buerocracy trying to police sevral shootout wars between Asians, Blacks, Hispanics, and Whites. The religiouse right and liberals will want to split the country into their variouse sections.

Right now a glutted economy fueled by easy credit and foreigners financing our debt is keeping the peace. Wait until the economy really tanks for whatever reason. Then we will see lots of blood.

I completely "get" what you're saying "dog". And I do have a hard time conveying my point sometimes.

What I'm speaking of as far as the names issue, is that currently (unless it's changed in the passed year or so) our NCIC and Court documents only have places for 3 names for one person. And when illegal aliens filter through the system they use variations of their names to keep from being found. It's easy for the man on the street to describe someone by name, but it's not so easy for a police officer to take someone in front of a magistrate when they're not even sure if it's the right person.

And in physical descriptions? Whether in court conversations and ESPECIALLY over the raido, ya gotta be very careful how you describe someone for fear of accusations of "racial profiling".

A police officer is protecting the solidity of his/her case from the minute they come in contact with the suspect. They have to. Too many agencies like the ACLU will help the criminals go free despite the evidence against him/her.

Excellent post!!! This will also be a problem if the Elites pass their Amnesty bill. What makes the Elites think for one minute that the illegals will step out of the shadows and become law abiding, taxpaying citizens?? Right now they have it made, they don't have to pay taxes and send their tax free money back to Mexico. they weed through the system and live their lives without having to take responsibility for their actions. Hell, even if they were granted drivers licenses they won't carry insurance. I was hit by an Illegal a couple of years back and fortunatley his cousin who owned the car was insured or I would have been screwed.

You wanna know what else happens with vehicles?

Ever been driving on the interstate and see an abandoned car that looks like it's been "stripped"? The wheels, and license plate is missing?

Well, they purchase a car from someone (privately), pay cash for it sometimes going in together amongst a family group. When the car breaks down, they just leave it. Could be that it ran out of gas, battery goes dead, just trivial things...but they'll literally abandon the vehicle right where it stopped and go find another car to buy.

The Trooper stops, records the VIN, and puts a sticker on it to show that someone has checked it. The VIN comes back to someone else, because the registration never got switched.

Guess who ends up paying for the towing and the impounding until it finally goes to auction?

Yup, we do. State taxpayers. And there's very little chance the vehicles can ever be traced back to the buyer. So is it cheaper just to have it removed or pay for the man hours to hunt for every single owner of every single abandoned car? And how does that search take away from officers working on other more sinister crimes?

In my time at the PD, I had 20 abandoned cars in one year. All virtually untraceable owners. ONE YEAR!

See we can go over the major problems with such a huge illegal immigrant population, but besides those major issues, we're being nickled and dimed to DEATH.

Now that is a new one to me, thanks for the info Elly. I have stated in several posts that the middle class is paying a hefty price on Illegal Alien activity, not to mention a broken Welfare system which is taken advantage of everyday.

Becoming Illegal (From a Maryland resident to his senator)

                          The Honorable Paul S. Sarbanes
                          Senate Office Building
                          309 Hart
                          Washington DC, 20510

                          Dear Senator Sarbanes,

As a native Marylander and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for
becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is
accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.

Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as "in-state" tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.

Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age
                          children driving my car.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.

                          Your Loyal Constituent,

                          Pete

You know what's "fun" about this provision?

The Child Tax Credit. Statistics show that the chances are better that we'll end up owing illegals money in refunds if this provision of past 3 years taxes is enforced.

You are completely right. Maybe the systems have to be adapted to the tactics used by the burglars
