The "Hitler is alive and well and living in Miami...I fucked her last night" was a line Jimbo used when the Doors were in Chicago about Chicago, but that's typical of many of the things in the movie, where Stone just plain got the facts wrong.

From the audio, it doesn't sound anywhere close to the near riot Stone portrayed it to be. Sounds like Jim was just plain shitfaced, and had I been there I'd probably have asked for a refund.

Fairly obvious to say, but the essence of Jimbo, to me, is that he was a very talented guy who pissed it all away with drugs and booze.

Nothing glorious about the way he ended up.

That's the thing about all the mythologizing that surrounds him; the reality was both far more interesting and also a bit pathetic.
