At first I didn't know how I felt about this flick, but after this trailer, I cannot wait to see the end result!

I still think the original cartoon series was the best.

I don't know...I'm sure it'll look pretty, but Michael Bay usually runs shit into the ground...

Transformers looks OK, but I kinda outgrew it back in...1987 or so...

I'll probably just wait for the rental...

I get the feeling it'll either be kinda cool in a "Starship Troopers" sorta way...

Or it's going to suck REALLY hard...

LOL Bob...

Good call on the Starship Troopers angle..

But I will say this...ease up on Michael bay....

The dude has talent. His directon is just too......big.

It swallows up the movie.

Either way, give him some credit, he directed Great White's "My My My Video collection". 1991 BWAAAHAHAHAHA

And here I thought that the idea of this movie was just a joke on "Clerks II."

I remember having a tape of the Original Transformers movie....with actors like Orson Welles, Leonard Nimoy, etc. doing voices.

I will miss this in the theaters....

He's an OK director, sure. Armageddon was enjoyable enough for a popcorn flick, and the first Bad Boys wasn't too bad. Pearl Harbor was a turd, though...The Island a mixed bag...The Rock had it's moments, too...

In interviews and such, he seems like a pretty cool guy - if he'd just kinda cool the bombastic directing style a bit, he could turn out some really quality items, I think.

Still, a big Wagnerian directorial approach to Transformers may be exactly what it needs...still kinda early to say and I haven't seen enough previews to be able to judge for sure...

Anything could happen...

Bay will fucking ruin this movie.

I see Transformers being the Godzilla of '98.

And this is coming from a big TF fan.

I think it's a safe bet to say it WILL be a CGI blitzkrieg that makes the new Star Wars trilogy look like claymation by comparison... :)

Whether or not you like it will probably depend a lot on how you feel about CGI...

DISCLAIMER: READ NO MORE of this if you don't want to hear about some of the movie. Don't want nobody sayin' I ruined the movie for them.

We get to the theater about an hour and a half early and the line is still huge. they always give more tickets away than the theater can hold.
I'm glad they are adding a lot of humor to horror movies. Like Slither & Feast for example. This is not as much a horror movie as a cross between Lion King and Terminator! I was not a big transformer buff so I can't tell what was straying from the comics. There was plenty of laffs in this movie. When the Autobots introduced themselves to the human kid they was using TV soundbites for their voices. I was waiting for one to use a DAVE quote! No luck! No CVH references in the whole movie.
How come non of the the good bots can fly!? Hardly seems fair!
There's matrix bot scenes, pissing bot scenes, hide and seek bot scenes, new car debuts! This movie was made for all ages! mostly the under 15 club! One point in the movie a woman hollers at a bot ... "Get your hands off my bush!"
All in all a good time was had!
Leaving the theater a bunch of us was taking the back exit. You know the exit at the front of the theater. We had to go down this long hall and while going down the hall I convinced everyone to walk like zombies as we spilled out into the mall! Classic good times!

Oh and the Transformers frequent the net! They favor Ebay and ROTHARMY! Thome is their spokesman I bet!
