I had never heard about it until just now. It was released in September 2006 to only 125 theaters nationwide, and Fox did ZERO advertising.

Seems they wish it would go away.

However, here is the Wikipedia article on it, and after reading the plot synopsis, I REALLY want to see this.

Hmmm...might be good....

Judge can shoot a movie too.

Office Space was sweet.

It also sounds like that Bradbury story a bit as well.

Supposidly fox buried it because they thought Americans were too dumb to get the joke. IRONY?

I enjoyed it. Nothing too hilarious, however, except maybe the opening sequence where they show the expanding family tree of an inbred idiot compared to the end of the family tree for 2 highly educated professionals.

Still, worth a rent.

Dude....I was kidding.....

It was prooooooobably the worst movie of all time....
Ever see "The Big Hit"? It's that bad...

87 minutes seemed like 4 fucking hours.....

Do not see this movie.

Unless you want to fuck Maya Rudolph......*crickets chirping*

Thought so.......;)

Judge hasn't done anything even remotely entertaining since Beavis and Butthead, and the excellent Office Space.

I was suprised to hear King of the Hill is coming back 'cause I thought it had been cancelled years ago. Wishful thinking I guess.

Don't listen to the naysayers. I bought the DVD and have watched it 4 times now. Each viewing you catch a little joke as the camera pans.

Terry Crews as "President Camacho" steals the show, in my opinion.
"Shit...shit be messed up. We're all out of burritos n' shit," says the teleprompter as "The President of America!!" addresses a joint session of congress.

And remember...when you are doing something important, don't stop at Starbucks, because it's "no time for a hand-job".

"Go away, batin'!"

I enjoyed this one! The scene where the van runs off the broken bridge was pretty cool. Good concept! I believe this is the way the world would end up if the sheep had their way! Blowjobs at Starbucks ... LOL!

I gave the movie a shot a little while ago, Comcast is featuring it on a pay per view basis so I said what the fuck, I'll watch it.

Not a bad movie, kinda stupid but stupid in an entertaining way.

Water has been replaced by a sports drink, and everyone wears clothing emblazed with advertizing. No, that couldn't happen here, could it?

This film shows what could happen if the entire planet's population descended from Jesterstar. Truly frightening.

i downloaded it after i read this thread and it sucked. im a big king of the hill fan but that movie was awful. The only bit i really dug was seeing the dude that does bills voice in king of the hill play the part of the judge in the movie.

I'm baffled as to how anyone can say the movie "sucked" - unless you were expecting a stright forward comedy in the vein of Austin Powers (a great comedy, but totally different from idiocracy)or even Mike Judge's Office Space. That's not what the point of the movie is.

I could go on and on, but I think this is the best correlation...
If you like the movie "Brazil", or Monty Python's "Meaning of Life", then Idiocracy will crack you up in that dark-humor sort of way.

According to IMDB.com this film didn't skew well with inbred morons.

Seems the subject matter hit a little too close to home.
