Boy, did THAT suck.

I recently took part in the "Stand-Out Comedy Course" for people aged 15-18, and it took place at a local high school. I only really did it because I was asked to, and I had nothing better to do.n At the end of it all (today) we had to do a routine in front of an audience. When I did it in front of the group a few weeks ago...everything went GRAte. Got the biggest laughs of the evening...looked as if I was gonna come out triumphant.

But, there was a major downfall...I'd been doing it in front of people not much younger than myself, and today someone had the GRATE idea of doing it at 2pm in front of 12 and 13 year olds. Yea...as if they knew what I was talking aboot. As if THEY understood my "man on the grassy knoll" comment.

Everybody else got laughs talking aboot grandparents and planes and Big Brother and several other cliche things. I talk aboot cynophobia and "Macca" and no-one understands.

Billy Connolly is right...the IQ level is plummeting.

Could be. Although your trick could be possibly faced with charges of paedophilia, as there WERE children involved, according to Shaun.

As for mine, well... sure, I'd end up beaten up, but scot free with no criminal charges whatsoever.
