Sanford and Son. Still very watchable. The other ones seem really dated.

Like a "Gilligan's Island" for two black kids.

Grady Wilson? Grady was alright, except when he started practically taking over the show when Redd Foxx had his contract dispute with NBC, and he was still featured too prominately even when Redd came back to the show. Grady was best as a bit player on the show, and while some of the "Grady episodes" were good, they were still missing the man, Fred Sanford. Here's an interesting bit of trivia...did you know that Grady Wilson was the actor that played Lamont, Demond Wilson's full name? Grady Demond Wilson. Also, Redd Foxx's real last name was Sanford, and his uncle's name was Fred Sanford.

Can't 'The Jeffersons' get some love up in this bee-i-itch?
Word.

Good Times, Jeffersons & Sanford all had bad-ass theme songs, too!

Sanford and Son all the way. Got them all off Netflix. The dvds are great because they restore the cut for syndication footage, some of which was really racy or racial. Great stuff.

I completely lost an argument with a black US pal over this show.

I went into a rant about how it was totally racist that there were no white characters and racism either way is just as bad, how it was irrelevant and how people should just fucking get over it and stop categorising things.

He asked me how many black characters had appeared in Friends?

Owned!

The US is still a bit odd to me.

Cheers!
