Need Help w/ Movie Title

What was that movie that came out a couple of years ago that was loosely based on Kurt Cobain? It was an indie film and the dude even looked like Kurt. Can't remember the name and I want to check it out from Netflix. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There was a film that came out a few years ago called Last Days (I think) and it was definitely directed by Gus Van Sant, and it was about a Cobainesque rock star hiding out in his house, getting stoned, then offing himself.

In case you're gonna rent it, be warned that it is VERY slow moving and boring.

Yup, "Last Days". Not a great Van Sant piece, really. Hopefully his next movie, "Paranoid Park", will be better - my daughter's in it...

i couldn't make it past the opening scene where he's going through the forest and then swimming in the river. it's brutally slow.
