EagleCam - Live Feed Of Eagle Nest

There is this bald eagle nest. First egg was laid March 5 (4 days ago).

You can watch the eagles live on this webcam.

Bandwidth is limited...so you can only watch the stream for 2 minutes right now, but it says on the page they are going to upgrade their servers to be able to handle the heavy traffic that has erupted since this went online.

Gestation period is only about 34 days, so in a month or so there will be some baby eaglets!

Wow! Very nice pictures. For once a nest cam that's in high res color. All the nest cam images I've seen are usually so grainy you have to squit to get a good idea of what you're looking at.
There have been bald eagle sightings on the increase around here. The city I live in is situated right at the confluence of the Susquehanna and Chenango rivers so it's prime eagle nesting potential. So far there have been two pairs spotted. Don't know where they are nesting, though. Saw my first bald just last week flying over the river while I was stuck in a traffic jam on a bridge. Very exciting!

I was a big fan of live nature cams back in the day. As a matter of fact, and somewhat related, PBS has been running a feature focusing (literally) on the Peregrine Falcon's ability to perform with tiny cams in tow! In all actuality, it (the feature) was more about some collective trying to capture a fucking falcon killing a bird @ 2 hunderd miles PH.

        "Collective"?

Back to the nature cams back in the day:

Some fucking site used to have a live feed (literally), of some watering hole that they would only cast @ night. It (the cam) must have been near a steadily declining body of water....

        FUCKING HORROR.

Think crystal-clear live feeds of gazelle embryos' being eaten alive!! Lepoard's were skull-fucking chimps in the shorebreak!

I'm over the mutual of omaha crap since then.

LOL! That would do it for me, too.
I stick with watching the raising of baby predatory birds. High cute factor, less emotionally traumatic.

Looks like the server's already been upgraded. I've been watching the same feed for 7 minutes now.
Looks like it's raining pretty hard at the location. You can actually see raindrops rolling off the eagle's feathers!
                Truly amazing and exciting!!
Thanks so much for posting the site Hardrock.

Download WeatherXpress 2000. Not only is it a great desktop weather app, it's got a cam window that opens, and has links to hundreds of weather, people, animal, and nature cams embedded in it. You can add your own, too. Pretty sweet all-in-one app.

Of course, they want you to buy a license for it to unlock all the functions and options, but anyone with less-than-sterling ethicsVIKINGcan go to http://www.astalavista.box.sk , and find a keygen for it.

Oh, if you do - be sure your firewall is up and you're running Black Ice, or some shit. Some of those search results will take you to pages that'll download porn dialers and assorted other pathogens so fast, you'll have to reformat your hard drive to get rid of them all.
