Blabbermouth, as most of us know, prides itself on bringing hard rock/heavy metal fans up to the minute news regarding the most important details on rock stars, bands, and their daily goings-on. Why, just the other day I read about how Lars Ulrich was refused entry to an L.A. night spot because he got there too late. It's because I care about the important details in the lives of people like Lars Ulrich that I like to read Blabbermouth on a fifteen minute basis every time I'm logged in.

Continuing their legacy, Blabbermouth has just recently brought us this breaking news about Blaze Bayley's hair.

Read on...

*********

Classic Rock magazine reports: When ex-IRON MAIDEN front man Blaze Bayley discovered he was losing his hair he didn't "Run to the Hills" and step away from the heavy metal music spotlight. He opted for a much more positive approach and headed for advice and guidance from the world's premier hair replacement experts, Optima Hair Specialists Ltd.

Going bald quite simply ain't rock'n'roll, and the 40-something rock legend was a "Man on the Edge" as he sought to rejuvenate his appearance and keep his hairline as fresh as the song lines being produced by his heavy rocking band, BLAZE.

Birmingham-born Blaze went back to his roots to see if Optima could help him rediscover his crowning glory, and he's delighted with the results which are plain to see…

When you've toured the world and shared the stage with some of the world's biggest rock icons, you know what it takes to succeed in the hard-rocking, guitar-screaming, drum-pounding world of heavy metal. It's critically important to hit the right chord with your audience, and that goes for the look, as well as the sound of your band.

"My music is as dynamic as it ever was and I was desperate to ensure my appearance stayed in tune. I'd heard great things about Optima and had no hesitation in calling them up and seeing what they could do for me," says Blaze.

"Optima's unique hair integration technique really blew my mind! My hair looks incredible and the whole Optima experience has served to energise my performances out on stage or in the recording studio — thanks guys, I owe you big time!"

Check out Optima's "Before" and "After" photos of Blaze.

It's just getting completely irrelevant...I have to wade through 15 articles of useless bullshit to actually get to something worth reading half the time...

Fuck, I swear, Bori'll print anything sent to him.

He was once the hottest man alive and I'm holdin' out hope that he can somehow revisit his former glory. Blaze circa 1990 is my fantasy man. As for his music, it is fucking incredible. He just gets better and better.

Blaze got married last month and it didn't make Blabbermouth, but this old news did? And his first gig with his new band was the Metalmania Festival in Katowice, Poland yesterday, which is a pretty big deal in Europe. Plus, his new official website opened up yesterday (I'm one of the mods) but his hair was bigger news:confused:

I started to say something in Blaze's defense on Blabbermouth as I normally would, but it's useless. A small percentage of the news there is relevant, but the commentary is utter bullshit. And Bori's an ass, but you already knew that, didn't you, Bob;)

Bob, don't you understand.

Blaze Bayley, somebody who will not, and should not, go down in rock history, and his hairstyle is VERY IMPORTANT.

Another thing I find totally stupid is that whoever the FUCKING IDIOT is that decides which stories to run, he must be wishing he could suck Axle Grease's cock....he constantly runs stories like "Axle Rose was sighted going out to a nightclub in London!!!!!" or "Axle Rose was spotted by our roving reporters burping after eating a taco bought from a taco stand on Ventura Blvd.!!!!!!"

Granted they do run stories in a breaking news fashion, but the homo who runs that site is fucking moron.

Breaking news??? Depends on who the news pertains to. Some of the shit is months old. Hell, some of it is even repeated from Blab itself.

Used to be a fun place for shits and giggles, but with their new political correctness, it sucks balls. Used to be difficult to get banned, but now ya can't even call a fag a fag.

Once you get past the first paragraph of any story, then they rerun everything pertaining to that artist they have printed for the past 6 months.

Fucking losers.

It is a love hate thing. I like the fact all the metal news is right there.

I just think their style sucks fucking ass.

I've never seen so many morons anxious for the first post:rolleyes:
Blabbermouth must be full of 12 year-olds. Makes me ashamed I visit that site.

No one gave a fuck about him when he was in Maiden, so why would anyone care now?

His solo albums are incredibly good and very much more his style (significantly more aggressive in places than Iron Maiden ever was to boot). Considering what a great and vastly underrated band Wolfsbane was, and the quality work he's put out as a solo artist (can't seem to keep a band together though...), I'm 1000% convinced that Iron Maiden absolutely wasted him.

All things being even, Maiden was a bad idea. He was allergic to a lot of the elements in the stage sets Maiden used, Steve was writing for shit at that time, and with Bruce's multi-ranged voice, a lot of Maiden's old hits, Blaze just really wasn't up to covering (predominantly among them "Run to the Hills", as memory serves). Nothing wrong with that, though - a lot of people can't cover Bruce's vocals.

Maiden stuff aside, however, Blaze's solo work is great and the Wolfsbane albums are beyond reproach - even when Wolfsbane was bad, they were good...

If you get around to it, check out some of his solo material, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised by how cool it is.

I gave a fuck before, during, and after. I'd hardly consider myself nobody. And he has a tremendous South American and European following, with good reason. Blaze has an amazing catalog with his own band and Wolfsbane, and I'm pretty fond of the Maiden stuff as well.

Blaze has had a lot of problems with management since his split with Maiden. His new manager is very different and very dedicated. The new band is dedicated as well, not a bunch of session guys.
