Wow look at all those Canadian dates!!
Of course, anything west of Toronto doesn't exist in Canada.

I wonder if those 7 UK dates will be doubled like they were last time, back when I was poor.

Admittedly, I still am, but I will DEFINATLEY go this time.

When do they actually go on sale?

It's not cheap.

Go to www.rush.com and click on the tour link.

The Scottish gig tickets go on sale tomorrow morning so I guess it will be the same for you.

Cheers!

Just got em on presale.

KEWL.

I missed them last time, so I'm gonna make EXTRA most of it.

Although, I did spot them going to soundcheck as I was in Manchester anyway looking for another venue for the week after.

Hey JJ, didn't realise you lived in Atlanta.
I thought you were on the west coast?

It still pisses me off they never do a full tour of Canada.
WTF??
I believe the last show in Winnipeg was 1989!
If U2 and the Stones come here, what's up their ass?

WACF

Yeah really...we can seat 14,000 here and they never come...it really pisses me off since they are a Canadian band.
Metallica sold out in a few hours a few years ago!

Although I did hear the last time they played Calgary they could not even get 7,000.

If they came to Saskatoon they would do very well.

ppg960
03-29-2007, 08:51 AM
I haven't bought anything from them since 1990.
I won't until they do a proper Canadian Tour either. We have a brand new building here that can seat 15,000.

Tampa.

I ALWAYS get screwed on seats, and I buy ALOT of tickets, mostly on the net.

I was under the impression that these pre-sales, and pretty much all internet sales, were being doled out in worst seats first these days. Mostly because they can auction off or otherwise rip people on the good ones. And since the people who buy right away will buy pretty much anything. Like me. I cannot function knowing Rush is touring near me and I don't have a ticket yet.

I would head for Calgary or Winnipeg...to be honest I really do not know if they have ever come to Saskatoon.
The thing that frosts my butt is they would have one hell of a crowd here if they came.

The West doesn't support Canadian bands. Saga tried to put together a tour for this summer and there was zero interest. They sell out Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.

Great band but it sucks that their singer won't be with them much longer:mad:

Who the fuck is Saga? I've lived out west all my life, and I don't think I've ever heard of them.

We support the bands that get PROMOTED out here - and YES we support Canadian bands, it's usually only the western ones that get any promo out here though.

Rush would do extremely well, as they used to years ago. Shit, Canada's biggest selling concert in history was right here in Regina last year (Stones). And at the end of the tour, Mick said Regina was the best... mind you, that could be because it IS the city that rhymes with fun! ;)

False. It was actually the Stones and Rush and AC/DC in Toronto in 2003. There's a DVD of it. You should watch it sometime.

That would be classified a festival. I'm talking "single-band" concert.

"Two Rolling Stones concerts in Regina last year are being hailed as the top grossing Canadian concert event of all time by a music magazine.

Industry publication Pollstar said the Oct. 6 and Oct. 8 sold-out events brought in $12,011,124, placing the Western city of 200,000 on a top 10 list of North American concerts produced in 2006.

The 25-year-old magazine — which provides music business professionals with trade news, tour schedules and ticket sales results — says the two Regina shows combined are the only Canadian events to make the top 40 North American grossing concerts of all time. The Regina gigs were No. 34 on the list."

Yes, it was, to get people to come back to the city following the SARS crisis.

Mind you, Torontonians think they live in the Centre of the Fucking Universe...

Toronto keeps this country united though... they're hated by everyone, west & east.

False again. It was $20. Same as free considering the line up.

The chick I took went to the University of Toronto or some other school like that and got us hooked up with a place to stay with two really nice Iranian dudes. Good times.

You need to have a SARS crisis first. Plus, Toronto IS the Stones favourite city in the world.

Been meaning to see Rush on the last few tours but never go to. Haven't seen them since 1990 on Presto.
