Hey kids, I am going to this show on monday, april 16th in NYC!!

CHRIS CORNELL Kicks Off Solo Tour; Video Footage Available - Apr. 9, 2007

Former AUDIOSLAVE/SOUNDGARDEN frontman Chris Cornell visited Xtreme Rock Radio in Las Vegas on Wednesday (April 4) to play an acoustic set on the Back Patio. Watch a video of his performance of his new single, "No Such Thing", at YouTube.

Cornell kicked off his spring solo tour last Friday (April 6) in Las Vegas. A video clip of his performance of the TEMPLE OF THE DOG classic "Hunger Strike" can be found at this location.

Chris Cornell's current touring band is:

Chris Cornell - Vocals
Yogi Lonich (WALLFLOWERS, BUCKCHERRY, FUEL) - Guitar
Peter Thorn (COURTNEY LOVE, JEWEL, ALICIA KEYS) - Guitar
Jason Sutter - Drums
Corey McCormick (RAFAEL MOREIRA, ROBERTA ROBINSON) - Bass

The new Cornell album, "Carry On" is scheduled for release on June 5 via Suretone/Interscope.

Cornell's new U.S. single, "No Such Thing", has been made available for streaming via his MySpace page.

Produced by Grammy Award-winning Producer of the Year Steve Lillywhite, "Carry On" is the 13th career album for Cornell.

Cornell began working on the disc last fall after the release of AUDIOSLAVE's third album, "Revelations". News of the solo project fueled rumors of a split with AUDIOSLAVE, with Cornell officially leaving the band in February due to "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences." The 14-track effort will feature "You Know My Name", Cornell's theme for the latest James Bond film, "Casino Royale", as well as a cover of MICHAEL JACKSON's "Billie Jean".

This is going to rule, because Irving Plaza only holds about 1000 people!!

This is only the initial promotional tour, expect a larger tour to follow.

That's good to know. I hope Ohio is on the slate for the tour.

Didn't get tickets in time. They sold out very quickly. I was waiting for a tour like this...would rather see this 100 times more than an AUDIOSLAVE show.

That setlist is killer with one exception: Doesn't remind Me.

That song is a piece of shit. In fact, all of audioslaves "Out of Exile" record sucked major balls. Sounded like nicey, nicey Hottie and the Blowfish rock to me.

Number One Zero was the only halfway decent tune on it.

Still wish he was playing more shows here so I could check out that setlist though: Jesus Christ Pose!!!!!

I wasn't impressed with the James Bond tune...

i'm quite optimistic about the new album now: it's was never going to be Euphoria Morning or Soundgarden, as Chris is in a happier place now.

But it sounds like it will be a good record full of decent tunes: maybe not the heartwrenching performance of old, but enjoyable nonetheless....

I really like the Casino Royale theme "you know my name"
I think it kind of refresh the 007 movie theme

Maybe if I hear it in another scene it sounds different to me......but I really like it.......just good enough

Well, he's only playing one show in the UK and its 250 miles from me so there's no way I can get there for any reasonable price.

I saw Audioslave, and when Chris did his acoustic stuff it was breathtaking.

I know, people forget just how amazing Soundgarden were.

Never made the same album twice, always pushed their sound in new directions without loosing the sense of what the band was about.

I don't like the new album, it's too NICE and lame, only a few tracks kick in, but Unplugged in Stockholm kicks ass!!!

This setlist looks good too.

Just the new album isn't anywhere NEAR as good as Euphoria Morning.

Bang on the money Awe.

The new album is decent, its solid enough. But its not amazing.

He sounds like he has become old, the fire and passion are gone. Euphoria Morning was an exceptional record full of heartfelt emotions, but now that Cornell is happy (and not taking heroin) his music doesn't have the same depth.

I like his new album, but it isn't a patch on his earlier work. I suppose everyone becomes middle aged in the end.

That being said I would still love to see him live...

Binnie bro, that show was one ofthe best shows I have ever seen, completely orgasmic.

The place was like 100 degrees, and Chris and the band were having such a great time up there on stage, the sound was awesome, his voice was HUGE, we had a perfect view with a bar in front of us.

The crowd was so into it and he really appreciated it and gave it back to the crowd.

Cornell's performance was god-like.

His drummer is pretty fucking good too man.
