IS BACK FOR MORE!

NEW “BEST OF” CD AND DVD FROM ’80S METAL FAVES DUE THIS SUMMER FROM RHINO RECORDS

BAND’S NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH POISON BEGINS JUNE 13

LOS ANGELES—After much speculation and anticipation following the airing of their “BEHIND THE MUSIC” episode on VH1 last spring, multiplatinum hard rock act RATT with vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer will grace the stage together for the first time since 1999. Plans for not only a U.S. summer tour but a full-fledged comeback are being mapped out now as the band prepares to hit the road with Poison. The band’s own tour dates will extend into the fall and may also include shows in Canada, Europe, Japan, South America and Australia. Joining the band onstage will be bassist Robbie Crane and guitarist John Corabi.

A full itinerary is still being finalized, but Poison and RATT will join forces for a summer trek that is scheduled to begin June 13 at the Bi Lo Center in Greenville, S.C., and wind around the country through the end of August.

The tour, which brings the two bands onstage together for the first time since 1999, will visit major U.S. cities such as Boston, Detroit, New York, Oklahoma City and Los Angeles.

The band has recently aligned with Carl Stubner, CEO of Sanctuary Artist Management (ZZ Top, Mick Fleetwood/co-manager of Fleetwood Mac, Tommy Lee/Supernova, Paulina Rubio, Jack’s Mannequin) and is booked by Jay Frey at Paradise Artists.

RATT made their mark in the early ’80s going “Round And Round” with a string of hit songs, videos and four consecutive multiplatinum albums (over 16 million albums sold worldwide). Their arena-filling live shows set the standard for all bands to follow. Creating anthems for the youth of that era, their music and performances maintain a timeless quality to this day.

I'm thinking about seeing this Show, Because Warren Demartini is pretty good guitarist and Theres no Van Halen or Dave tour this year ..Your guys thoughts?

I suppose it'll be a good show...

Hard to say. Wouldn't really be interested in seeing any of groups except for RATT, and even that interest would be slight...would basically be going to see DeMartini, because Pearcy is a lazy fuck onstage these days, and what little voice he had is totally shot...

But I'm sure Poison will put on a professional show, and they do have a lot of tunes everybody knows, regardless of one liking them or not.

White Lion...is Bratta back with the band? Fuck, even if he was, they've only got a few tunes I even know, much less like...

I'd say if tickets were under $40, it'd be a decent deal.

That's actually a good $10 less than what I thought they'd be...

Yeah, the price is right for that one.

I love Ratt. I honestly don't know if I can justify spending money on another Poison show...For a band that is DREADFUL live (CC is the worst!) I seem to always be in position to see them. They opened on the DLR Skyscraper Tour. I won tickets to see them as a bar door prize (Tesla opening act, who BLEW them off the stage). They headlined a bill with Faster Pussycat and Cinderella, who I wanted to see. I walked out on Poison.

I just don't know if I want to spend the money to go to a show where I'll get maybe an hour of Ratt and then hate the rest.

I like Poison's albums, but they bite live.

Exactly, all bands mentioned are way past their prime and creativity. A trip down memory road is usually a good thing for most of us..

Bratta is back? Is this confirmed?

Bratta and DeMartini would be good to see, but do all of them have enough good tunes bto make it worthwhile is the question.

Absolutely. There never was, and I don't believe ever will be, another Classic Metal lineup like we had thru the 80's.

KISS
AC/DC
Classic Van Halen
Triumph
Ozzy
Judas Priest
Queen
Def Leppard
Cinderella
Motley Crue
Ratt
Twisted Sister
Quiet Riot
Dokken
Poison
White Lion

and the list continues....we all remember 'em....

so yeah, I'll be there...

I will go for Ratt, I can't stand Poison. Seen them live once in 88 or 89...with Ratt. Poison was pretty awful. Never seen White Lion. Probably will be a lot of drunk skanks there. Sounds like fun.

Not quite sure Cinderella, Poison, White Lion or Twisted Sister belong with the others.

I mean, if you're gonna include them you might as well throw Warrant, Winger and Trixter on there as well.

And WTF...no Jackyl?

I've seen the same damn Poison show FAR too many times. If they'd play something GOOD or NEW once in a while, we could talk. (Fuck, even Bret didn't play much more than the same Poison crap when he solo toured.)

But, I never saw Ratt back in the day. Just saw WL a couple years back and they really weren't bad.

So, in summation. Worth a lawn seat and the party before (and after) the show? Hell yeah. I'm going.

(More importantly, are the Rocklahoma tickets worth the price? Hell yeah! I still wanna figure out a way to get there!)

Bratto is not on the tour. This is Mike Tramp's White Lion.

As far as Poison goes, the show will depend on CC's state of mind. When he is on the show is fun. When he is drunk it is horrible.

I saw Ratt/Poison a few years back and Ratt is not a great live band. Pearcy is like a statue on the stage and CC was so drunk that people were leaving the ampitheater in droves during the show.

CC has been sober for 2 years now. He went to rehab/jail in 05 for drunk driving and hes been sober ever since. Saw them last year with Cinderella and both bands were good.

Pearcy was a drunk on the 99 tour with Ratt. hes been sober for a few years now also..

Should be a good show

Was trading with some dude who threw two Ratt shows on the end of a video boot as an extra. One show was from 1999 with Pearcy, Blotzer, Crane and DeMartini and the other show was from 2002-2003 with (am I getting this guys name right?) Jizzy having replaced Pearcy, and it was sad to have to say that the band was more alive, energetic and plain sounded better with Jizzy, whereas Pearcy was just limp and lifeless in terms of energy, and the dude wasn't even making the slightest effort to hit any high notes. Think I had read something about he had shattered his knee in the late 1990s, too.

Will be interesting to hear reports on how the bands play.

No Bratta for White Lion and Pearcy not even trying - will give it a pass.

well Plexi it looks like you will be leaving the show early...because they WILL play that lame ass song.

I saw the tour years back with Poison,Ratt and LA Guns

I didn't realize just how bad I hated Poison as a band until that night.

BUT, what made it all worth while was watching Brent Michaels fall on his fat ass during the oncore!!!

BUT...Warren Demartini KILLED IT that night ....but you guys already knew that

CC Deville could win an award for consistently laying down the worst solos ever!

Awful tone and style, at least to my ears.

Laways thought Brett Michaels was a fairly decent guy though, even if he takes himself a little too seriously...

CC is a likeable goof. Rest of Poison are a bunch of twats. Really no use for them or their music. Ever. Then or now.

Will go basically to see Ratt and check out milf boob jobs, but sadly will end up taking the wife, who will no doubt want us to see Poison as well.
