OK, now I have to find and post the study that shows that being an over-organized neat freak is actually COUNTER-productive.

Great reasoning there, Brie..."He's messy! He can't be President!" PATHETIC. :D

I bet W has a clean desk with fuck all on it apart from a Sesame Street DVD.

You would think that Brian would have seen the inside of a lawyers office by now at least. I've never been in a lawyers office that didn't look like that. Some of the smartest people I've ever met have offices like that.

I have an amazing accountant and his stuff is all over the floor too.

I'm not a big Gore fan but this thread just shows BBB's mediocre brain at work.

Cheers!

Well if you can tell by the keyboard, he has a high end MacPro built for business. I've seen pictures of large brokerage firms with the same setup.

That looks like a friend of mine who is a lawyer. His whole basement is a complete mess. Atleast it looks like it to me.

Bookcases are full. Everything else is stacked halfway to the ceiling.

Seems to know where everything is though:)

Ford he may be saving a few trees on the bookcase, but he is killing an equal amount in printouts. PDF the shit!!!

At least now it's obvious where that 30k a year goes for the electricity bill. There is a coal fire burning in a plant nearby 24/7 just to power up all those screens..

Hurry, only 5 more years before Al himself kills the planet...

Yeah, too late. Hubby saw this thread in passing and almost tripped himself when he caught a glimpse of the monitors.... (oh, shit)

As far as the "hoopla" over the photo itself? It's a photo of a guy in his office. End. of. story. It means nothing.

One of my most distinguished acquaintences tells me that the reason he trusts me to get his work done is because: "if you want something done, ask a busy person to do it."

I'm NOT voting Al Gore for anything, ever. But I can appreciate the job he's doing for our country in the seat he's in right now.

Here is the REAL pic of monkey's office at his ranch in Crawford. He has assistants carefuly stage the room, so it appears he can actually read (note the look of utter confusion oh his face as he struggle to read an online version of Jack & Jill):

http://i5.tinypic.com/6bapq2g.jpg

Then there are the numerous other photos of him floating around...doing his best to even sign his name, but usually requiring some help from those around him:

A private moment with his wife...

"Very good George, now make a "b"...no a CAPITAL "b"....there you go...

http://i4.tinypic.com/4tp4a3p.jpg

Showing off his skill at signing his name:

"Good job Mr. President!"
http://i1.tinypic.com/4qt1wtc.jpg

"All RIGHT Mr. President! Yaaaaay!"
http://i15.tinypic.com/506h16u.jpg

Showing some third-graders that he can actually spell "President".

"See? It only took me a week to learn how!"

"Wow Mr. President...you sure are smart!"

I don't understand the article...ok, if you say so. The point I'm trying to make is his hypocrisy about consumption. We can all play shell games with where the energy came from, how many carbon credits were purchased to offset things, how many miles the Prius got (while in itself remaining an envoirnmental disaster of battery acid), but the key point remains in his powerpoint, err, movie, is that CONSUMPTION needs to decrease. Yet he is apparently unable to within his own home's walls. That is what is called an observation , above and beyond the article. But I suppose we can just say that i don't understand the article. What I say is the "facts" of the article have been deliberately posed in a menagerie to make Al Gore look "guilty" of the whole "hypocrisy" argument...

The only thing he's "guilty" of is being rich and successful. Yes, I'd love for him to move into a hemp tent and become an environmental extremist. If he did, who would listen to him? But in fact he has taken steps in his personal life that if emulated would decrease carbon emissions.

Yes you are lazy. While you deride me as a "NEO-CON who sacrifices nothing", are you not using any oil this year? Are you avoiding any place that does? are you even trying to? Then you aren't sacrificing shit either, so please stop preaching.

Do I want them to come home? As soon as it's possible. Do I support them? 1000%. Do I do things within my power to help. Numerous times.

Nobody needed the article. The picture tells more than anybody needs to know. He can't use ONE computer screen? He can't use a smaller plasma screen, if he needs a plasma at all (that stuff isn't the best for the envoirnment). Even if his steps to reduce are changing his lighting, heating and whatnot, that picture shows he has miles to go in improving his consumption habits.

Anybody who tells me the world is coming to an end in 10 years if i don't personally change and then does the polar opposite in his own life is a hypocrite. I'm a pretty successful guy, can I get the "Al Gore" pass too? I'm willing to buy some sham carbon credits too.
