Yeah, uh...Aeroshit hasn't done anything mentionable since, what, 1982 or so? Before then, perhaps?

Yeah, to be actual, Joe Perry sold out, um, back around 1987.

Well, there was that festive halftime thing with Britney singing Walk this Way with the band.

Hard to believe from the same guys that made Toys and Rocks.

True, but everyone gets old.

And least their still out their touring for their fans, playing some old shit, unlike another great american rock band I can think of....

Shit.

I thought Joe was the only one left in Aerosmith who still wanted to rock out.

Balls.

Aerosmith around 1994..Was like when they were last good rock band..Granted they had some ballads...But Songs like "Love in an Elevator" and such were pretty good..

Aeroshit started selling out the day they got off drugs. The Titney/N'Suck moment is when I gave up on them for good.

Here's a thought...if you weren't watching American Losers in the first place, you wouldn't be subjected to this crap.

It is a sellout though.

So Brad Whitford is better than Perry?
It must be Perry's songwriting that kept Aerosmith more than his guitar.

To me Aerosmith went down the shitter the moment they released that sappy, vomit inducing love song, "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing", for the Armageddon soundtrack! I still enjoyed their music on up to Nine Lives, their last good album. I didn't know anything about Perry doing the song with that Sangaya fag cause I don't watch that show.

I was flipping chanels before work and saw they were showing clips on the Today show. They didn't even mention Joe Perry, but I saw him in the background player guitar. He didn't even get a mention!

The Angel track raised some hairs on the back of the neck.

Pump was solid.

Get a Grip's power ballad trio wasn't a good sign.

Knew it for sure in 1998 with that crappy Armageddon song and seeing Perry the same year on the Emeril Lagasse show playing guitar and plugging his hot sauce.

Everything since then (particularly that Superbowl appearance with Britney and all the rest) just reconfirms it.

As far as I'm concerned, a band who does "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" have sold out. It was written by Diane Warren, for frig's sake. I mean, OK, she's written a ballad or 2 for Meat Loaf, but thats different, he's always done ballads like that...but Aerosmith?

As for American Idol...I dabble into these programmes because the rest of my family watch them. Then I started watching them at the beginning to see the freaks who can't sing. Then, I decided to watch the rest of the series so I could do the true British thing and pass judgement on people who I've never met and are probably more talented than I am. Its easy for me to say "that was shite" but not be able to do that myself...and I like it that way. Its what I do best. Its what the BRITISH do best. And if the day ever comes when we can't be cruel to people behind their backs, then, I don't want to live in that Great Britain.

Awful, awful, awful....

He sounds awful and looks embarrased.

Sanjaya looks the same way.

I like the crap ones. I think he should have won. Cowell always going omn about people not taking this shit seriously, thats because, in the UK anyways, the people make one single and then everybody forgets about them.

It looks as if he's too nice to sing a song with balls. And it looks like he's unsure of what he's singing

"Girl, I think you've got me now
But, I'm not sure, you should ask me laters
Girl, you probably got me
I'll decide with rock, paper, scissors"

My buddy, who's into the whole rock/metal thing, along with blues and a very little pop/rock, watches Idol religiously. I just can't wrap my head around it. (Nor do I even try anymore. I'm just proud that I've only seen one episode, and that was over his house. I'm calling "captive" on that one episode.)

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. Green Day was a huge shocker for me as well. What happened to "American Idiot", "anti-corporatists in music"? Green Day was my one true punk salvation (without even owning one Green Day album) and now they're playing American IDOL? ...oh the shame...

I don't watch AI. But my mid-60 yOa parents were here and they LOVE it, so we had to watch the finale with them.

The only thing I can figure is that we're a dying breed, ya'll...again. Where there's money, is where all the artists are going to go eventually. It is a business afterall and obviously there is more success in following the masses as opposed to standing on a premise. But look at it this way...at least it's Joe Perry, Green Day, et al getting some airtime instead of folks like N'Sync, Backstreet Boys or Nickleback.

Still doesn't make me wanna watch more Idol, though. I can tell you that. Hope my mom'er'nem appreciate the sacrifice I made....;)
