My wife told me she wanted to go check out some yardsales yesterday , So we got in my truck and hit the road . The 1st one we hit was a good one , yes thay had the junk you find at all of them , broken tools and stuff that should of been put in the trash .. But as i was walking back to the truck i see this beat up guitar case and i had to see if there was something nice in it right .. This man sold me a martin d-1 that was ment for 65$ .. Went down the road for about 5 miles and got a charter arms , under cover .38 thats over 30 years old for 45$ and a rugher single six .22 mag for 25$ so has anyone else got good stuff at yardsales ???

The last gun looks like one of those toy guns that I used to play with when I was a kid...no offense.

Yeah, I believe they were cap guns, we just never had the caps to shoot them. That was back when toy guns looked like the real thing!

You got a great deal ... If the gun has 80% blue and works good its around 400$ used at a gun store .. Great find !!

I'm tellin' ya, I LOVE garage sales, tag sales, yard sales, whatever you wanna call it sales. Tis' the season for those now. I get a LOT of good stuff all the time. I get all my baby stuff from there. Since this was my last baby, I got her playpen from a garage sale for like $20, her high chair for $7, a bunch of clothes, and even toys. Christ, my kids were clothed into garage sale clothes for the first 5 years of their lives, they had no clue.

I also really like antiquing. Getting old love letters, pictures, and what not. I have a old 1932 Philco Radio.

I do have to say on a different note that I have a 10x13 original picture done I would say in the mid to late 1800's of my Great-Grandfather that my Aunt gave me. I couldn't believe it that she entrusted me with it. She wanted to make sure it was handed down to someone that would cherish it. :)

i got a 125 gallon fish tank one time at a yard sale, nobody would buy it because it stunk so bad.

come to find out the man that it belonged to had somehow gotten a restraining order placed against him by his wife, she unplugged the tank and let everything in it die, sold it at the sale.

upon further research from a fellow at the petshop it had several live corals in it and a couple hundred pounds of live rock and live sand.

of course everything in it was dead and of not much use.

the live rock sold for 7 dollars a pound and the sand was probably more than that, not to mention the corals, they probably averaged in the hundreds of dollars a piece at the size they were at.

just goes to show what a woman scorned will do.
