I always thought the whole premise of Silver Surfer being sent out by Galactus to devour planets as pretty cool.

Alba will also help me make the decision to go, I cannot disagree

I hated the first one with a passion...of course, the FF never really interested me much, even as a comic, so...

I'm actually kinda surprised it's not a direct to DVD release, considering...I guess they figure they'll get a pull out of it in the theaters...

The Silver Surfer will steal the show on this one. Hollyweird is already trying to F##K it up. The previews are using the voice of the actor who does the cgi for the Surfer in the previews and he sounds damn good and fits the look of the Surfer. Well the big wigs want to rip off the Darth Vader concept and dubb Lawrence Fishburnes voice into the part. Bad Idea, in my opinion. There is an old saying, If it ain't broke don't fix it.

All the previews I've seen DO have Lawrence Fishburne's voice...I was like "Hey, the Surfer sounds just like Morpheus!" :D
The clips I've seen look totally kick-ass, though. Looks like in addition to being effect-heavy and action-packed, there are some reeeeeaaaally funny bits they're showing too....

Well I just saw it today and it started out kinda slow and then really picked up. They were really aiming at family fare when they made this one. Nothing dark or edgy about it. Overall it was a good popcorn movie, and it is just really neat seeing these comic book characters come to life on the big screen. The special effects were really good and the Silver Surfer stole the show. I would have liked to have scene a few more battle segments with the FF going head to head with the Silver Surfer. I can see a number 3 down the line. I think it is already at 57 million at the end of the weekend.

My thoughts exactly. I noticed they show the shadow of his head for a split second at one point, but they completely pussed out.

I still liked it overall...

yeah it also looked like there were hands in the beginning when the cloud thing was coming off that one planet. they could have done so much more with galactus.

if you think about it they could have made it a silver surfer movie. with all that wedding crap they wasted time on they could have shown how the silver surger came to be. but w/e
