Not because I'm a Nugent fan, but because I'd love to see how all his Wang Dang Sweet Poontang lyrics play in a town that literally has a church on every other corner.

Or for that matter, how much Canada bashing he'll throw in, since Lynden is about a mile or so south of the border.

Unfortunately, far too many of the locals will otherwise believe in his political agenda though. Rural Whatcom County ain't no bastion of Liberalism :(

Also, I guess that means they aren't doing the Darrington Mountain Festival thing this year. Usually had a bunch of old bands there. and they are huge, im talking 12-18 inch fish. the limit on kentucky lake is 60 fish per person.

I'm not a vegetarian myself. I just posted that Smiths video because it fit the topic. Though I do have to say that the conditions of corporatist factory farms sicken me, and if I had the money and the property, I'd probably raise my own cows and chickens for food.

Hunting's not my thing, personally, but I don't have a problem with those who do it in a respectful way to feed their families, not to put a stuffed trophy in their den.

In either case I can't blame someone for wanting to eat meat that's lived under natural conditions, whether in the wild or "free range" organic farming. I also can't fault vegetarians who do so out of health reasons or because they don't want to eat anything with a face.

As for me, I figure that as long as I wear leather shoes, there's going to be cows dying anyway, so I might as well have a steak or a burger once in a while.

If you call yourself a vegetarian and wear leather, you're a hypocrite. I prefer the Lakota Nation approach - treat the Buffalo as sacred and use every single part of the animal possible.

But I don't eat meat three meals a day every day. Not even close.
