yeah. he and the dolls dont get near enough of the credit they deserve for helping to mold rock music after the 60's. IMO the velvet underground gets way too much attention while the dolls are left out

I'd say that The Ramones were the first true punk band, but The New York Dolls and Iggy and the Stooges were the ones who pretty much pioneered the sound and attitude.

I loved the New York Dolls record that came out last year. The vibe, the feel, was just wonderful...
