I will be updating this thread sporatically. We Will start it off first with the worst gimmick in WWE history. The 1990 Surivivor Series debut of the Goobleyedgooker. It was Hector Guerrero dressed up as a lame turkey. For several weeks up until the survivor series there was a giant egg at the house shows... people were speculating it could be the return of a famous wrestler... I thought it was gonna be Ric Flair... when it finally hatched the crowd booed for like 10 minutes as Mean Gene danced around the ring with the turkey. I think half of the kinds were cryin' that night.

The Katie Vick angle

Triple H accuses kane that he is a murderer. A Couple weeks later Triple H dresses up like Kane, and does a five minute monologue discussing the incident.... they cut to a dream sequence... then Triple H jumps in the coffin and fucks the corpse!

Pillman/Austin Gun Storyline

Stone Cold goes to Pillman's house, and rounds start going off lol... I thought it was funny.. but it got alot of controversy.

The Debut of the SHOCKMASTER on WCW.
"Flair For The Gold" segment.

Another awful gimmick looks like a gay fucking darth vader. He came trhough the door in smoke... and his mask fell off... very poor execution... and one of the worst characters I have ever seen.

I think at this stage of the game...the worst gimmick in professional wrestling was the day that Vince McMahon Jr. took the reigns...raising expectations.

In all seriousness...since Vince has forced wrestlers to go 250-300 nights a year...and began dominating other feds...forcing them to do the same thing...

how many wrestlers have died because of it?

The Loch Ness Monster was better known as british wrestling legend, Giant Haystacks, real name Martin Ruane. Known for his huge size, weighing over 48 st (672 lb) at his heaviest. He had a long running feud between himself and fellow legendary british wrestler Big Daddy, resulting in high ratings every time the two fought each other. In 1995, he appeared in the United States in WCW under the title The Loch Ness Monster as a member of Dungeon of Doom; however this was short-lived, and the tour was called off when Ruane was diagnosed with cancer and returned to the United Kingdom. He died on November 29, 1998 at the age of 51 following a two year battle with cancer.

Guy was a legend over here, pity he never made it big in the US they were probably too scared of him...:(

I agree! I loved it! (I guess I'm one of the few who never boarded the Stone Cold Express. Plus, I thought Pillman was the shit!)

BTW, is that an F-bomb Pillman drops with 16 seconds left in that video?

On national (cable) TV? Nice!

I love that I saw him a few hours later that day and he went off on an airport worker. Not this bad, of course, but enough that everyone was watching. (And at the time, I had no clue that he'd been already riled up before that. I just thought it was regular psycho Sheik.)

Anyone over 40 that had a TV in the sixties remembers wrestling at it's finest, this new style is cool butt it's a little too kid oriented, but that was when i watched it the most. I still follow, but not like i used to.

I really must say the people who have died, pulled crimes, is kinda the way it has always been, these dudes like some boxers, would be in the joint, if they didn't have this or football, ultimate cage fighting, whatever.

I still say for the history long of this world wrestling has entertained and
the years since TV that we have seen the good far outways the bad .

However the silly and funny has ruled the aiwaves.

It is the Yetti. Prior to that match he recently defrosted from a block of ice after thousands of years just so he could dry-hump the Hulkster. That was just an embarrassing night for wrestling as prior to the match, Hulk and the Giant fought in a monster truck battle that saw Hogan kill the Giant when he threw him off of the roof of the arena into the Lake hundreds of feet below.
