Okay, so last night I saw Poison & RATT here in Biloxi, MS. I've seen both band numerous times in their heyday, but I've always appreciated the guitar work of Warren DiMartini. Anyway, RATT played first and they opened with "Sweet Cheater" and followed with "Dangerous But Worth The Risk." I began filming and the fucking bald dildo headed poseur acting as a security guard singled me and another dude out and made us quit taking pics in the middle of the song, while letting others do as they pleased...I found this odd because when Poison came on, he didn't give a fuck and I took a shitload of pics as well as video when they performed. Here's what little of "Dangerous But Worth The Risk" that I was able to get...Enjoy!

Ratt was fucking great. Poison was Poison. It was cool to have DiMartini's speakers right in my face. As usual, he kicked ass. This was my 3rd time seeing them. The first was the "Invasion of Your Privacy" tour and the second was the "Dancing Undercover" tour.

I met Warren in the shitter once in Fargo, ND. I was tripping my words and shit. I'm sure he could tell I was a major fanboy. We shook hands AFTER we washed. LOL

He was very nice. He fucking rules on the frets!!!

Why does everybody hate Poison so much? Did Sammy Hagar used to sing for them?

16 times I saw Ratt.

Means I had to see Poison about 10.

Good with the bad.

Lets hope Pearcy keeps it together and the tour plays out.

They actually opened the show with "Sweet Cheater"....Fucking amazing. Don't know if I mentioned that in an earlier post.

***Edited to review an earlier post that I did in fact mention "Sweet Cheater" as the opener. :D

Here is a cool story for you Ratt fans !!

The drummer in my band is an executive chef for a high-end restaurant chain.

He got to fly to minneapolis this week to have dinner w/ Poison and Ratt.

The guys from Ratt arrived late , so they missed the dinner.

So They invited him to sound check that next day, so he could hang out with Poison and Ratt.

After a 3 song sound check , Bobbie Blotzer invites him up to play Round and Round for final sound check song.

About that time Stephen Pearcy came out and actually sang along for a full sound check of the song!!

Needless to say my friend was in heaven

Maybe I can post the pics once he e-mails them to me.

That is if anybody wants to see them.

....also he spent time with Warren, Bobbie,Stephen, CC , rikki rocket and Brent.

He said everyone was awesome - no attitudes - all of them seemed to be getting along great!!!! - he said BOTH Poison and Ratt were excellent too!

I'll probably have them up Monday or Tuesday.

I'm just pissed he didn't get a picture of Warren's pedal board.

He knew that would have been the Holy Grail photo.

....oh well....

He did mention that Warren is using his new signature Seymour Duncan pick-up in a blue snakeskin guitar ( not the gray one) on this tour.

I pre coached him with some conversation starters for the band Ratt.

Warren's NEW pick-up being one of those conversation starters.

...just in case any guitarists around here cared to know.

Warren D was always underrated. Saw Ratt on basically every tour from 85-90. Saw Bon Jovi open for them on IOYP in 85 and Poison open for them in 87 at MSG.

Pictures please... :)

I saw Ratt with Poison back in the day, prolly the same tour as the rest of us... "Invasion of your privacy". BOTH bands really rocked it out!! They are coming to SPAC at the end of August. It would be great to see them again!

I used to dig Ratt back in the day but one thing that really got under my skin about them was Pearcy. The band was kick ass, but he would stand there tryin' ta sing with his off key ass, looking like someone from the mob came to collect before the show and blew out one of his kneecaps for non payment. A very funny but also sad image for such a great backing band.
