well there was this magazine i came upon today about the top 100 metal vocalist, guitarist, and bss&drums of all time or something, bass & drums were combined as one. so i looked trough it and here are the top 5 from each.
vocalist:
robert plant
rob halford
steven tyler
chris cornell
bon scott
guitarists:
eddie van halen
jimi hendrix
jimmy page
angus young
tony iommi
bass&drums
john bonham
lars ulrich
gene simmons(they said not because of his skills, but what he brought to the table)
tommy lee
steve herns
they gave a little bio of eache and then had a quote from each and then made like a little info thing. for evh they put, can you believe he was #70 in rolling stones same countdown. for jimi hendrix they put somehting like too predictable.
here is the worst part of this mag and why i did not buy it. spambo number 12. diamond dave number 19!!!! they said some shit bout dave that more people know him today as the person who failed to replace stern and not for what he really did, which was set vh on fire.
mike anthony was number 14 and alex was 25. for al it said best live drum solo performance of the last two decades
