God I wish Hendrix was still alive. He would have been putting out great music over all these years. If I could only have seen him live on stage.:(

Here's to you Jimi:gulp:

Rest in Peace :cato2: :daisy: :cato2:

The version of "I Don't Live Today" is regarded as his finest performance of that song, and was included on the early 90s album "The Jimi Hendrix Concerts".

In fact, that album is probably the best live compilation of Jimi ever put together, as they went through all the available professional live recordings and got the very best performances, putting them together as if they were from a single show. I think "Red House" from the San Diego Sports Arena was on that album as well.

There is going to be a massive celebration concert for what would have been Jimi's 65th birthday in late November in New York City. Johnny Winter is going to be there, and Larry Coryell, as well as MANY other people who played with Jimi, or were his friends.

I am thinking of going, as I would have an all-access pass if I did.

Here is footage of Jimi on his last birthday, Nov. 27, 1969 at Madison Square Garden, backstage just hanging out with the Rolling Stones:

Here is artist Denny Dent, painting a picture of Jimi.

This is the intro to the Hendrix Playes Monterey video.

The song you hear (Can You See Me?) was not filmed, as the film cameras only held canisters of film that lasted for 18 minutes. So even though the concert was filmed, the camera operators were all in the process of changing out their film while Hendrix was playing this song.

Of course the entire show was recorded on audio.

Who told you that ??

That painting was done in the 80's...

He may have actually painted Hendrix during a performance but this is not that...

:elvis:

taking a shot at me are ya,elvis?

i named my act "ace diamond experience" as a tip of my hat in the most respectful way to jimi hendrix. in no way would i ever come anywhere near him. nobody ever will, not even EVH.

nobody can come anywhere near enough to even get close to jimi.
he is simply put,"the best there is,was, and ever will be"
jimi hendrix-the best guitarist of all time. no one else even comes close.

:elvis:

What in the hell are you going on about?

Where did I ever say he painted Hendrix during ANY performance? And whether he did nor not, what in the hell does that have to do with the Hendrix Plays Monterey video?

The video clip I posted above is from the Hendrix Plays Monterey video.

Is that so hard to understand?

Are you on drugs?
