I've been struck with an urge to buy myself a White US Tele with Maple neck (no idea what model yet).

I know there's a lot of Strat players, but I can't recall many Tele players around here.

i dont own either type but i have played both enough, i personally like the tele better they sound good and my favorite thing about them is that the strings are slightly farther apart so its easier to hit the strings.

I'm a fan of raunchy Telecaster sounds. Especially the ones on Led Zeppelin I.

The ones with the old stamped steel bridge and single coil pickup in it still sound the raunchiest. The more original the better in my book.

I plan on buying a Telecaster soon and making it all Andy Summers-like.

I play a tele. I slapped an allparts bridge on it to get a little more depth and sustain out of it. Great sounds and great guitars. Fender guitars really are made to play out of Fender amps. I did buy a 1971 Univox head and it really shows the sound of the guitar. The tele sounds great through that.

Love em !

I have 1 USA Fender Telecaster.
Im a big Strat fan, switching from one to the
other is no probs. If you like the look of
tele body better, and you have already checked
out the feel of the neck, I would say go for it..

I love the feel of the neck on a Tele. I just think they're really cool guitars.

All being well I should have one in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Vintage pickups with the rear one mounted properly through a ferouse steel bridge ran through a Tone Bender and a Supro amp is a deliciouse combo.

Being an insanely massive Waylon fan, I have a Tele. I have a set of EMG-Ts in mine (just like Waylon's had since about 1989). Great tone. The EMGs are cool. I can go from an awesome, thick, blues type tone with the neck pickup (seriously, such a deep, rich sound!) to perfect Waylon twang on the bridge.

Funnily enough, despite the reputation of EMG pickups, I don't really like the distorted tones I get with these, but it's cool... the cleans more than make up for that. :D
