There are so many things wrong with this story, we'll let the blogs handle the commentary.


Baptist minister and Christian radio personality Tommy Tester was arrested in Johnson City, Tenn., last week after he was found intoxicated, dressed in a skirt and urinating in front of children at an area car wash, according to tricities.com and wtop.com.

When police arrived to cart him off, they say, he offered to perform sexual favors on them.

Instead, he was arrested and charged with indecent exposure and driving under the influence.

Tester, 58, is a minister at Gospel Baptist Church in Bristol, Va., and an employee of the Christian radio station WZAP-AM in Bristol.

The arrest was like Christmas in July for the snarky political site Wonkette.com: "You can just imagine the cops pulling up to haul off the preacher pervert and their utter disbelief when, instead of showing any shame or denying everything, he offers to" perform a sex act on them.

Not content to let an opportunity for a political swipe go by, the post goes on to inform readers, "Wonkette has been unable to determine his specific job title with the Rudy Giuliani campaign."

If you took a hundred people off the street randomly and a hundred preachers, statistically you have to think that there will be a hell of a lot more perverts in the latter group.

Same goes of course for the percentages of pedophiles in the general population compared to those who work/worked as priests...

It is a known fact that the pedophiles tend to do whatever they have to, to get closer and gain the confidence of their victims before striking.

Also, by pretending to be "sent by God"... they think that people will suspect them less. That's how it used to be and that's why a lot of religious workers got to get away with murder!

One more reason for me to resent anyone who has the audacity and arrogance to claim that God is speaking through them... :o

I prefer to talk to God directly without the middleman and money is a man made thing. It's not a product of nature in fact in the natural sense money is absolutely worthless. Us humans play this game that a bunch of paper is worth something and it seems to work. Why in the hell would God want such crap? I mean any church that asks for money has a problem. LOL!
