The Knack are still together? New music, or just touring with the oldies?

Go rent Baby Snakes by Frank Zappa.
If you get the DVD watch Punky's whips.

please don't ask any further questions until you do so. :)

Bozzio's a master technician on drums.

Shiiiit - I have his DCI instructional video. The dude is a monster! All that ostenato stuff he does - talk about limb separation!! Amazing drummer. In the video, he says he sees the drum kit as having potentially as many voices as a symphony.

To answer your question, Steve, no his kit was not as gargantuan when he toured with Missing Persons (a band I love, by the way). He actually had a good bit of those analog simmons pads incorporated into his kit at the time, so by early 80's standards, it was still a big kit. But nothing like in the pictures you post. There were one or two really good concerts by Missing Persons posted at G101 a month or so back - you should snag them since you are such a fan of female fronted 80's pop. Missing persons was the platonic form.

And ThrillsAndSpills is right, as usual, Baby Snakes rules!!

I wonder how wild his clinics with Chad Wackerman are:

And tell me those two are better than the 38 Special dual drumming team.

No, they divorced and that caused Missing Persons to break up.
It's a wonder if they stayed together what the 4th album would've sounded like.
Personally, I go backwards in a sense I thought the last album was the best one. "Color", "Dancing", "Come back", and "face" are all a great string of dance tracks.
Or maybe the first album is just overplayed on the air still with "Walking in LA" & "destination unknown."

Bozzio is pretty fucking phenominal.

For some reason, people rave about Peart being the most technically proficient rock drummer ever, but Bozzio can pull off shit Peart (even as good as he is) never could.

7 bass drums IS a bit overkill, though.

Bozzio probably isn't taken as seriously because he's best known for his work in Missing Persons. And they were more famous for what his ex wife wore on stage than for musical ability (even though they DID have talent)

Shit I got naked pictures of her somewhere.

Bozzio is amazing. And he is a truly nice guy. Met him on the 1995 Jeff Beck tour.

He played with the Knack? Damn...talk about overkill, lol! :D

Missing Persons Singer Finds Herself in Jail

Dale Bozzio, the lead singer from the '80s band Missing Persons, has turned herself in to a New Hampshire jail yesterday to serve her time for an animal cruelty conviction.

Last year, Bozzio was charged with the crime after authorities found loads of sick and dead cats inside of her home. After the gruesome discovery, 12 cats were euthanized and Bozzio was forced to pay the $2700 bill.

Bozzio -- who was lead vocals on that song "Walking in L.A." -- was also sentenced to 90 days behind bars and 250 hours of community service.

The only version of "The KnacK" that currently exists is when Doug Fieger & Bruce Gary (original drummer) play the odd gig here in Hell with guest musicians filling in on lead guitar & bass.

Bozzio was pretty good as a fill in drummer up there though, before cancer took Doug out of the game.....
