Both are incredible but Bozzio gets my vote. His showmanship is second only to Keith Moon (IMO)

Dave Weckl is my favorite although I love Bozzio and Wackerman and
listen to them frequently as well. I am more familiar with Chad's work
with Allan Holdsworth's records in the 90's, and with Terry Bozzio's
solo career and work with Jeff Beck and Missing Persons so tying them
down to just their work with Zappa kinda disable's my vote in this
pole. (I find Frank Zappa's music enjoyable only in light doses. Its a
bit...too over the top for me.)

I'd have to say Terry Bozzio, who has pretty much distinguised himself
as in a class by himself. He is a drummer that every serious drummer
is amazed by. Vinnie is a monster drummer as well. There are many
amazing drummers walking this planet.

He was great on the Vai album. I was just making a joke about endless drum solos but HR could start a fight in an empty room...:)

Drumming outwith the context of a song gets old quick for me apart from Neil Peart solos which I always find entertaining.

Also how many fucking drums do these people need...:D?

Bozzio is The Man. Very original and talented as he can play so many styles of music. Has very much a jazz approach to playing that I personally like. One of a kind.

Its true, I did send twonabomber a PM stating I couldn't believe how he quoted me from the mod room several times in a thread at the Army and hoping that he died in a car crash on the way to a Van Halen concert. I'm not sure where the threat in that is though....that's the only PM I can think of where I mention death or bodily injury at all.

Otherwise, my life is great. I just have a beef with ASSHOLES who act like ASSHOLES.
