I was just sorta curious about it...It's been a few months since I registered as an Independent...What is everyone all registered as and why?

I'm registered as an indepedent because I Like to be able to think outside left and right, And I wouldn't like to be criticized for agreeing with a different party's view on something..

I am a registered Muff Diver.
I like to dive a couple of times a day.
With many years of training I feel I am world heavyweight champion. Since my certification, I have tried to dive as often as possible without injury or incident.
So far I have not broken my neck.(knock on wood)

Hi I'm VanHalener, registered Muff Diver:hitch:

(Virginia does not register parties)

This state doesn't require party registration, but they did recently start using "partisan" ballots. You can either vote a Democratic ballot, or a Republican ballot. Then, if I remember correctly, they have a generic ballot for all the referendums, initiatives, and allegedly "non-partisan" races.

It's stupid, and I preferred the old completely open ballot myself, but it was the parties who complained about it, because of the "crossover" votes in the primaries. I'll admit to voting for McCain in the 2000 Republican primary, because ANY vote against Chimpy is a good vote. Unfortunately, I got on a Republican junk mail list for a while :(

And what pisses me off is that the new ballot laws don't keep Republicans out of the 2004 Democratic caucus, which is how Judas IsKerryot ended up "winning" a state where all the actual Democrats actually supported Dean or Kucinich.

Dean. Dean. That name rings a bell.

He's currently the chairman of the Democratic Party, and his 50 state strategy was responsible for the Congressional landslide of 2006

Did Mark Foley, Ted Haggard, Larry Craig, and David Vitter form their own political party?

Landslide?

That wasn't a landslide. A landslide is what happened in 1994.

The Democrats don't have enough votes to do anything in either house.

Sounds like something Slick Willy might be interested in.

I don't know if the "human humidor" thing with the cigars really measures up to snorting meth off a gay prostitute's ass, or wearing a diaper on one's head. Let alone sucking cock in a public shitter. But yeah, what the Hell. Throw Bill in there too. Maybe he'll take the DLC with him.

Didn't you do virtually the same thing when you voted for McCain?

As I said, this state doesn't require party registration. So if I want to vote a Republican ballot, it's completely legal, though I'm risking a lot of really hideous junk mail.

The caucus process is a little different. That's supposed to be a partisan process. Otherwise, you could ultimately end up with Republican delegates representing the Democratic party at their convention (and vice versa)

I am registered as a dem. I was 18 at the time. I thought the Democratic party was a liberal one.

I volunteered for the Jackson Campaign in 88. I still have the bright red t-shirt.

I've always considered myself an Independant because I vote for the candidate and not the party. I live in a Democrat county in a conservative state so the politics here is interesting.

Yeah, and Bill is going to have a very hard time just staying in the East Wing having tea parties Just like his wife did. But hey, he's might be doing Jaculine Kennedy's job and those are some tall high heels to fill. LOL!
