Yeah these guys don't often turn into legends like Neil Peart or John Bonham, and usually don't get the publicity like their frontman. But a lot of punk bands out there wouldn't be shit without their drummer.

Who's your favorite??

Dave Grohl ...

Chuck Biscuits for me, hands down...DOA, Randy Rampage, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, The Descendents, Brown Sound, Floorlords, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Danzig, Run DMC, The Four Horsemen, Social Distortion...the man was right there in the thick of it all...BEYOND talent...

Easy vote, although I feel like shit leaving Marky and Robo behind...

Gotta go with Scabies. More of a hard hitter than technically profound, especially when it came to came to hitting people. People in the audience....fellow band members. He tried to beat some sense into The Captain on more than one occasion!!!

As far as current "Punk" drummers go, Travis Barker could probably sit in for Neil Peart. Now that's a stretch!!

Dave Ruffy (The Ruts).

Check out the intro on "Savage Circle" (album: "The Crack", 1979).

Nirvana wasn't a punk band, but they wouldn't have sounded the way they did without a serious punk influence.

I'm sure he was kidding. Barker's actually not a bad drummer, he was just in a shitty joke of a band. But he resembles Neil Peart about as much as I resemble George Bush :D

On the list given - Scabies.

In my lifetime - Probably Johnny Blitz from the Dead Boys

Currrent - Mr. Utter from Swingin' Utters.

I'm gonna go Marky, on the basis that without him the others would have all sounded and played very differently...

Dunno about that. Tommy played on the first three albums and the Ramones influence on the other bands would have been huge just on the strength of them.
