Just talking strictly TONE. Don't care who's singing - although it did influence edward's tone ;-)
Personally, I love the tone on Van Halen and Fair Warning the most.
What about you guys....?

Ou812 is without a doubt Ed's best tone!!!!!.........Ummmmm no. Actually I'd probably go with VH II or Diver Down (love the sounds of that record).

some good albums listed here. vh 1 just sounds so raw and unrefined yet controlled. like the intro to little dreamer or im the one.
