I guess it's easy to say why Sammy wants a beach bum persona.

If you notice most tour photos he is still wearing the same sweats he uses for weeks to sleep in.

You don't have to shower or do much while on stage that resembles any attempt at presenting a semblence of effort.

Michael McDonald was (is?) lead vocalist of the Doobie Brothers, and in my opinion has a voice worth killing for.

Sammy Hagar is Bette Midler's older brother.
