As I have found a couple of silly projects to post, and am looking up more, I decided to post them in one thread:


Firstly, free electricity from your phone company. Ever notice how when your power goes out in a storm or whatever, the phone still works?

Ever want to call a business but have no cell phone, no change for a pay phone, not enough minutes on the cell phone, etc.? You can even call Long Distance and it costs nothing.

Go to a pay phone and call 1-800-GOOG-411 or (1-800-466-4411)

It will ask "What City & State?" You say "New York, New York"

It will ask "What business name or category?" You say "Insert Name Of Business Here"

GOOG411 will give you the:
Address
Phone Number
and connect the call for free

Yes it's free. Google doesn't charge you a thing for the call or for connecting you to the business. Regular phone charges may apply, based on your telephone service provider.

A Barbie Doll Electric Chair Science Project:

This is a science fair project that I did in middle school and completely disgusted the entire female staff of Benton Middle. The purpose of this project is to show how the electric chair works and discuss basic electricity - currents and conductivity.

This is perhaps not the most politically correct science fair project, but it definitely gets attention. And although it is more based on presentation than science, most people find it very interesting to learn how an electric chair works. :D

This instructable is quite lengthy, though some parts are optional. You'll probably want to scan each section to find what you're looking for. Have fun and happy building!

How To Get A Free Yacht (No Shit!)

Well, maybe not a yacht, but a free boat anyway!


Step 1:

Get the Free Yacht
This is the easy part.
"Wooden Boat" magazine has a "free boats" section in every issue.
Any harbormaster can show you some free boats.
They're especially plentiful in the northeast in the fall.
Divorce season, whenever that is, produces lots of project boats that
"must be removed from my yard before such-and-such a date".

Here invent this a Amp charger system with batteries and a AC .DC converter hook up for your furnace.

All year long it trikkle charges off your normal electric home current charging the batteries then if the elct goes out you can convert your furnace fan and do without your elec strter and heat your fukkin home.

That's because the phone company has a bunch of wet cell batteries. I remember taking a tour of a large telephone office in scouts and they had this whole room full of wet cet batteries. Just Pyrex jars full of electrolite; simular to the old telegraph batteries they used over 100 years ago. Low voltage DC power and yup, it works when the power goes out. In fact, a was in a city that was hit by a tornado and my cell phone was useless but the ground line still worked. The lines must have been buried.
