View Full Version : What song would be best while attempting suicide?

Alright, I thought about this briefly earlier....right after a bucket of shelled pecans got tumped over. Long story...

The song really has to be depressing....not just sucky.

None, man. Tomorrow's always another day.

Take yer pick of the VanHagar catalog.... Could there be a more appropriate excuse (or accompaniment..) to blow one's brains through the occipital bone??

Two versions of the same depressing song...

I'm gonna go have a good cry and change my pantyshield now.

rustoffa

There's uterus lining on the ceiling fan....everything has gone to hell. EVERYTHING. The drought-induced acorns falling on the gutters....it's like some kind of tin roof symphony!

That same phenomenon is what made the pecan crop so bountiful this year....the hardwoods are producing more nuts! Preservation of the species style....

I'm just glad I have this outlet to keep me grounded. Moments of gold and flashes of light!!!

Queen`s "Don`t try suicide".

I always put that on straight after Ozzy`s "Suicide solution".

While doing it? Dunno...

But, and due to my refusal of ever becoming an invalid, I have often contemplated how I WILL commit suicide once I am unable to do everything by myself. Examples include not being able to walk, dress, or go to the bathroom by myself. Screw that - it ain't living. It's just dragging on.

That said, here's how I'll do it. I wake up, the bed is wet. I'm 60, stayed up all night, and a huge hangover threatens to shtter my brain if I move so much as a finger. Life's good, we'll continue on.

I wake up, the bed is wet. I'm 60, I HAVE NOT stayed up all night, and I do not have a hangover. However, the old lady is incontinent, and tends to forget a couple of things at her old age, like putting on her fucking old fart diapers. Life's still good.

I wake up, the bed is wet. I'm not drunk. I just pissed myself, lost control of the bladder. It's time.

Spend a few days with what family I'll have then. Big, small... don't matter. Afterwards, invite all my friends to a huge afternoon out, drinking and eating until well after midnight, maybe 'till the sun comes up, if we're able. A phone call to that dearest feamle friend. A day out, a nice dinner, squeaky springs, neighbours complaining. Yeah, that'll do it.

Next day...

Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Life by the Drop" on loop. Fill the tub with hot water, slit the wrists...

Ain't nobody wiping my ass but me, baby.

Cheers! :bottle:

Can't believe you only had one country song in the poll, and it wasn't even a depressing one.

Hell, let's go with a classic from old Hank........

I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry

Words and music by Hank Williams

Hear that lonesome whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to fly
The midnight train is whining low
I'm so lonesome I could cry

I've never seen a night so long
When time goes crawling by
The moon just went behind a cloud
To hide its face and cry

Did you ever see a robin weep
When leaves begin to die?
Like me he's lost the will to live
I'm so lonesome I could cry

The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky
And as I wonder just where you are
I'm so lonesome I could cry

Now let's see Morrissey top THAT for pure suicidal morbid poetry.

Katatonia - Brave

If you didn't know
All the moments
When I lose myself
I would tell the world
I'm catching flies by now
Speaking to someone
Breaking the windows
This house is dead

The sound of falling
When the pictures are moving
Between the memories

The sound of falling
When the pictures are moving
Dead in time

Brave, try the meaning of loss
I know your smile is deadly at this point
Wherever you are I am not

If you didn't know
All the moments
When I lose myself
I would tell the world
I guess I should know
The limits of the world
There are moments I find myself
Not breathing at all

What else should I be
All apologies
What else could I say
Everyone is gay
What else could I write
I don't have the right
What else should I be
All apologies

In the sun
In the sun I feel as one
In the sun
In the sun
I'm married
Buried

I wish I was like you
Easily amused
Find my nest of salt
Everything is my fault
I'll take all the blame
Aqua seafoam shame
Sunburn with freezeburn
Choking on the ashes of her enemy

In the sun
In the sun I feel as one
In the sun
In the sun
Married, Maried, Maried!
Buried!
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

All in all is all we are [x20]

I won't think of a song, I'll just think of those I know who gave their life away without fighting and depressed those around them.

I think this is an absolutely sick and horrible thread.

Totally tasteless.

Slayer - Angel of Death on repeat

And with the song the coolest way to do it would be to tie piano wire around your neck, and then gorrilla glue your hands to your head and jump off with enough force so that you decapitate yourself.

The results to others... you just pulled off your own head. FUCKIN BADASS!

Don't Close Your Eyes - KIX

Whatcha doing out in the night time
Why'd ya' call me on the phone
Your mama can't solve your problems
When's daddy ever get home
So you did your little move and cried
In the middle of a suicide

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Don't sing your last lullaby

There's no one there to hold you
No one hears your scream
You live life up and down
your nightmare's are your dreams
I know it's lonely when your hanging 'round
Don't ya' take it lying down - no, no
Hold on - Hold on tight
I'll make everything all right
Wake up - Don't go to sleep
I pray the lord your soul to keep

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Don't sing your last lullaby

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Don't sing your last lullaby
