A basic brown leather strap on a 'Paul never fails.

Is that really the source? If it is it's only when someone's close enough to tell what's happening on the strap. :p

Are all your straps wide like that one? I've always used smaller straps but I was thinking of getting a new wider one in that style (besides the kama sutra characters on it).

I love it. The Kama Sutra strap. Or more like "Strap On". :D

I'm a Dimarzio strap dude like Steve Vai and Yngwie. I just like that no nonsense design and it's comfortable.

For my bass' I use leather or a padded type strap with some Schaller strap locks.

That is a nice strap. I bought one from Brookwood Leather http://brookwoodleather.com and it is really nice on one of my Fenders.
That strap is really cool.
I would proudly display it when the mother in law comes over :)

I was at the Green Door in Montclair once tryin' to use that Dimarzio strap as a whip-around like they did, and the fuckin' thing pulled out the strap button by the screw straight out, launching my now-lost 58 strat across the concrete floor, munching the headstock.

I think Levy's makes some bitchin' strap designs, the first-ever guitar strap retailing over 30 dollars is still around today for a reason. They're really really good.

My favorite is a rattlesnake-skin twin to Randy's, thin yet strong. I thought I had lost this with the V but it wasn't in the case it was in one of my pedals trunks.

I love the smell, the feel and the way it drapes over the shoulder it's grate.

Agreed , a good quality strap is always a good investment. Never go cheap and ALWAYS buy good strap locks....
