Silly kid. Doesn't he know that any black, red, or white stripe is a registered trademark of EVH Inc. ??

Eddie's lawyers are after Jack White to change the name of his band even as we speak, and the next target : Coca-Cola.

Stock up on candy canes too-there next on the lawyers list. BTW One of the guitar heroes has a Gibson SG overlay called Von Hellion with the stripes.

There's enough ambiguity that a good lawyer like Jerry Spence could get the kid off. Exactly what is the Frankenstein pattern? You can't patent primary red, white, or black and the pattern on the video game control guitar is not exactly the same as on Eddie's guitar so it's not a copy.

Looks pretty cool to me , might just have to give it a try on my son's spare guitar.

It always surprizes me that people could get so anal about a toy. Let the kid have his moment, it's a pretty cool looking piece. I want to see a polka dotted V myself

Mine is cooler, because it's all tape and ingenuity.

Why does that one scene from "Better Off Dead" spring to mind?
