Got tired of so many I knew telling me how great it was and how I should join that I finally did several months ago.

Didn't see the big deal about it. Ended up opting to cancel it within a month.

My drummer talked me into it a couple of years ago...when I started getting random nudie pics from girls I knew it was a keeper...:D

Same here... Franksters helped with (or did the page for) me.
It's very nice of him but besides receiving E-Mails from people who want to be my "friend", it's done absolutely nothing to me. I really don't care about those comments and pictures people send...

I have a hard time enough keeping up with my real (live) relationships... it is completely useless for me to bring more people in, especially if I don't know them or their real identity!

I'll pass... :o

Although, on "Face Book"... some people have found me (with my real name) and I was amazed to hear from them. Some old friends I had lost touch with, some California friends I haven't kept up E-Mailing, etc...

Now THAT's cool!

I actually got back in touch with a LOT of people I knew and lost contact with over the years thanks to Myspace...and it's a convenient little way to keep in touch with people, band info, etc. It's teenagers/spammers/hackers division is annoying, but nothing that can't be protected against easily enough.

I don't see any problem with all, although the novelty does die off pretty quickly. I only look at mine every couple of days to see if I've gotten any email and check band news and such, and that's pretty much about it...

And yes, I too have reconnected with some people I haven't seen in ages, since my 1st post-high school bands and whatnot...

Facebook's OK too...not on there that much. :rolleyes:
