I have waited years for someone to start a thread about bikes, so i'll do it.

I have owed 6 street bikes in my life more to come on this....

Ok, so for a few years I have wanted this scoot .

Yamaha XJR 1300

I don't like the monoshock I think I would put on Dual shocks.

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n189/thome_2006/hfhfhdfhh.jpg

I believe it is only available in Europe.(going to grab a brew) I'm back...Tasty!

I really haven't had a -Cafe' Style- bike, I preffer the traditional -STYLE-.

I wish you would post in here what you like.

Picts Welcome.

( I am all dependent on the whims of the Mods)

I have seen stories here about wrecks and the such .

Never seen one about crome/paint/model/paint etc... repairs, what's the best physical motorcycle.??

Shop Talk, Talk Shop.

I cannot tell you how much fun can be had on a 73 Honda 250 Elsinore.

I installed a Radial Head and Expansion Chamber.

Bought it for 275 cash walking by a garage sale in about..??? 82 hardley out of the box, dude never road it.

I drove that bitch to the fukkin stars of heaven.

Sold it for 300 bucks one year later and the dude took it across the street and blew second gear out right in front of me I gave him 50 bucks back, we pulled some doob and all was cool.

He rode twisted mot-cross on the side, turned this bike into a real competition blaster.

Dude that brings back some memories! I had an MR50 before graduating to the Elsinore! Those were DAMN good times! Jumping the ditch ... going so fast sometimes we'd endover into the palmettos ... LOL! But we never went into the ditch!

One of my worst memories about old MX bikes is about an RM370.
http://dirtrider.net/forums3/attachment.php?attachmentid=6639&stc=1

I think that one is a '76. The one in my story was a '78, and didn't belong to me...plus, it was bored to a 450, and was pretty beat up. So I wanted to cuntpete in this "junior" hare scramble @ our local track, but didn't have the necessary cubic centimeters to make it happen. It was 175cc and above. All the other kids were using their dad's, brother's, or whoever's piece of shit PT, or Elsinore. My older brother suggested that I borrow his friends' RM 370. The dude agreed, and said not to worry about crashing it, 'cause he had three other ones. Those old 370s' still maintain legendary powerband status. After noticing my feet wouldn't reach the ground, my brother asked if it would be ok if they balanced me @ the start/finish line. All I really had the chance to do was run it around the parking lot before the time trial. It was noticably faster than my YZ80, and the clutch was really soft.

Anyway, about 1/2 a mile in, I dumped the clutch coming out of this tight trail, and wound up careening through a stand of small pines. You know, the whole "spin cycle" sensation. Eventually, I got my act together, and pushed the bike over to a grown pine tree so I could lean against it to kick the fucker off. Right after I got it running, I noticed alot of blood on the tank...that's when I noticed the huge gash in my arm. Needless to say, I just took the shortest way back to the start/finish line. I remember one of the checkpoint dudes yelling at me. When I got back to ground zero, this old bastard that nobody liked came running over and said I was disqualified. I was crying and shit. The dude that loaned me the bike came over and said something like, "look!! he painted the tank!!!"

25 stitches.

Good times.

Just like my monoshock joke the world is a vampire and the booze addled brain will attempt to comply.

no more trick ?' ions
no points for details added.

I have ridden several choppers never owned one stripped several street bikes down to the frame painted them and I understand some complex duties such as swing arm bushing.more later;;;;;

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n189/thome_2006/a1.jpg

Lets call the red bike exibit A I find that the chopper is a bike with a certain degree of Rake and Stretch more later....

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n189/thome_2006/a2.jpg

Lets call the blue bike exibit B {{aspirin must kick in or i'm gonna drink more fukkit! beer thirty....annnnnd i'm back..... whoh!}}

Bike "B" seems to me to be somewhat descriptive of what I am going to say it is more of what I call a stretch bike than a chopper.

The california lowrider style chopper and this is a style of motorcycle I do NOT like.

Not a low rider not a chopper like a ball busting crotch rocket and whatever I say some preffer it I don't.

Bike "A" is what I would want if I was so inclined.

It's all good don't get me wrong if I wanted the seat on the ground I would by it for my BITCH!

I don't want my balls crushed up in my belly for a 1000 miles or even 2.

If I did I would by a Ninja.Digg-It!

Any comments welcome.

I ride a 93 electraglide but I'm not one of those guys who thinks they
are better than someone else because they don't ride a Harley.
It just fits my riding style better .
My best friend had a GSXR 1000 and when we would take rides his
preference was hauling ass as fast as he could and I would enjoy the scenery.
The only time we rode together was at night or on the freeway.
After he crashed a couple times I tryed to talk him into slowing down
and enjoying the ride.
He didn't listen .
He had a big funeral early this year .

I got one for slow and one for fast ,but they are both fast.

A mile long wheelie is off the books for this old man.

Maybe on a track with some real good crash gear .

I am still crazy.... just that the repair bills sukk these days on me and the bikes.

I looked up a set of air cleaners for my jap bike 800$.... just the filters and housing.New jets would be next .....WTF.

Last time I stripped my jap bike down to nothing ... over a year ago

I had everything off the frame except the engine but I lossened an tightened those bolts too.Checked Valve clearances etc.. no need to crack the cylinders.

Painted all the frame knicks took the pipes apart steel wooled the crome painted the swing arm and oiled and pretty much gave this thing a complete overhaul better........ I would say than any shop would do as a matter of fact most dealerships won't work on a bike even one with thier name if it is older than ten years old.

But they will usually reffer you to a local cat who will do work factory sanctified and better FYI.To the buyers of older bikes I've had this baby for 15 years can't part with it.

So I pull the petcok off and cleaned and replace the(2) inner fuel filters inside the tank put it all back together.

I had the carbs down to 24 parts per carb I did the whole shaBANG!

I go to start it runs like a monster sex machine street blaster 10 minuets then NOTHING wont start for sh!T!!!!

Days go by friend comes over blaa blaaa blaaa.

Pulling the carbs on this bike is the hardest part because of the air cleaner a real BITCH!

So I pull it and the main jets are full of SH!T laquered up dried gasoline seems i didnt replace the old fuel lines after a month of work.

Flexing them and moving them cracked up all the old dried material inside the lines.

1.50$ Item fukked myself again ......just a FYI..... Dammit...... for the

world.

Motor on Muthas!

If my friend would have adapted your philosphy he would probably still be around .
He had a race bike that he would take to the track but he had to push his luck on the street.
His wife was following him when he met his demise but I didn't want
to ask her the specifics.
The guy was living on borrowed time , anyway .
About twenty years ago he woke up feeling like he had his ass whooped the night before , opened his garage and found his old
beamer totaled.
Never did remember what happened but from the looks of the bike
he was lucky to be alive.

I'd like to get me a new scooter especially with H D putting a bigger
engine and six speed tranny in the new bikes.
I'm always trying to upshift when I'm already in 5th gear.
That fatter back tire looks cool , too.
But I prefer the new street bob with the fatter front tire.
My first full size H D had that tall skinny front tire and would tend
to try to follow ruts in the road that the fatter front tire would go
right across.
And if you find yourself off road on a dirt road or long dirt diveway
it sure is a lot easier to stay in a straight line with the fatter front
tire.
What's the attitude in your area about loud bikes?
I live in the desert and they generally don't say anything even to the guys with straight pipes .
But in some bigger cities they are starting to crack down on loud bikes.
Next thing will be the illegal helmut crackdown.

:D

Good advice for the newbies right there.

I've been riding for 20 years; I started out with an old 1983 Suzuki GSX 550 back in 1988 and in hindsight even that may have been too big and powerful for my first bike. I busted the ferrings from dropping it the very first year that I had it. lol That was the bike that I learned to ride with; and with time I gradually got myself more powerful bikes. I currently ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX12 but without gradually building up to that without the experience; there is no doubt that I would have been roadkill by now.

If you're going out and getting yourself something like a Hayabusa as your first bike; you're really playing with fire. Don't go for power until you've got at least a couple of years of experience under your belt.

I always get a chuckle out of seeing some of these 20 year old kids who go out and get something like a Hayabusa right off the bat. It's actually sad because they're playing with more power than they can handle.

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n189/thome_2006/2010-Honda-Fury-5.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n189/thome_2006/Honda_Fury_1.jpg

At 663lbs (wet) the Fury is a seriously heavy motorcycle; with a wheelbase of 71.24 inches it also has an incredibly long wheelbase, the longest of any current production bike in fact. The 1312cc V-twin is liquid-cooled and fuel-injected, making it fairly high-tech for a chopper. But with just a 3.4-gallon fuel tank, don't expect to enjoy its smooth engine for too long before stopping to refill. Maintenance should be a breeze though not only will the engine be reliable, but the shaft drive requires no regular adjustment.

The Fury isn't our kind of bike and we're a bit worried that coming so long after the peak of the chopper craze that it won't be the kind of bike that proves terribly popular with the public either. Having said that if you must ride a barely functional excuse for a motorcycle, this is probably your best bet.

A few web comments:

1.Is this the last of the Fury posts? This thing has been uninteresting since day one and I don't think we need to read anymore about its blandness/impracticality.

2.^^^ What he said. ^^^

3.This from a company that gave us the original CB750F (the bike that changed motorcycling) the CBX, NR500, CB400F, CX500TC flights of fancy, the NCR/VFR series, the GoldWing. Ever since Mr Honda passed away this company has lost their "Joie de vivre" ? I blame accountants and focus groups and a politician of your choice ....

Eva HÃ¥kansson - with passion for electric drive (http://www.evahakansson.se/#post1)

We have all heard so many times before: electric vehicles are slow, ugly, boring “nerd-mobiles”. We will prove the opposite – and you can be a part of the effort!

The KillaCycle team with the insanely powerful KillaCycle dragbike, is the world’s fastest electric motorcycle in the quarter mile (7.824 s @ 168 mph), and is competing head-to-head with top level gasoline motorcycles. The winning KillaCycle team is now going for a land speed record, and, hopefully, become the world’s fastest motorcycle of any kind.

Top speed: The bike is geared for 100 km/h (60 mph) at the moment. Because it has a PMDC (permanent magnet direct current) motor, max RPM is decided by the voltage (this is characteristic for PMDC motors). With a PMDC motor, you therefore have to choose acceleration or top speed. There is enough power for higher top speed, but because it bike is slightly under-motorized, gearing for a higher top speed would cost too much acceleration and also give lower efficiency. 100 km/h is an acceptable compromise at the moment.

Range: About 80 km (50 miles) per charge at 70 km/h (44 mph).

I put a drive rim in the front fork, and watched and prayed for the CurbGOD to befit me with a lawnmower motor.

He did better, he gimme a MacKeely edger with a 2.5 Briggs n Stratton on it.

I put it on, and tugged the cord. Nothing.

My first bike was a Taco Mini Bike with a yellow frame similar to the one pictured but mine was old & rusty. My Dad would get peeved cause I used all his lawnmower gas. Dang, I thought I was the shit riding this thing around. No gears...just go or stop. Lawnmower engine with pull start. VRRROOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!

http://www.gokartsusa.com/taco/tacoDSC00185.jpg

I had a Tote Gote. A bigger geared down version of the mini bike. They were popular with hunters and I drove mine through the forrest and through swamps. Mine had an old Briggs and Stratton cement mixer motor that was way past it's prime. No muffler just a pipe and when you shut the engine off a big flame would shoot out. Also the motor was too tall for the frame so the spark plug would go up into the seat cushion. It worked it's way through the seat one day and gave my ass the biggest shock.

The front fender is a different curve raduis than the wheel/tire.

If the rear head heat pipe goes directly into the ex pipe that could be a bit restrictive.dissapationally, heat wise.

But I could forgive her .

Keep the Vammyhammer.

Give 1500$ for that poorly engineered unsafe at any speed trike, pull the bug motor, and put it in a baja buggy frame.

unless you trust every single weld on that monstrosity.

Sell left over trike, for a pull behind cycle travel trailer for the V.

win win win

-Last Year KC- was the leading contributor to, The Cause.

I have no idea what and where and/or the politics of it.

The promise, is a noble one tho..?

I saw this show about Biker Gangs and this cop narc informant was really cutting bikers down as criminal organizations that do these rides to try and appear as that they are just wholesome folks....

1% perhaps the other 6000 on this ride Sunday and in other cities across the nation.. of us see the cop as a narc informant stoolie..and why should I believe that guy,at least I don't.

I really respect 1% of the cops.

To me this is only about the black and white, of the infant mortality rates, and the money that it brings towards "no cure" this is not a virus.... just the money needed to give these children a fighting chance.

You are right, Thome.
It can be and often is a terrible and catastrophic event when criminals, be they contrabandists or scoundrel, involve persons without their consent into their criminal activities.

I recently saw a documentary that told the story of a biker club that lost significant membership due to a small percentage of fellows bent on misbehavior and exploitation of the club's good name.

Many people enjoy motorcycling, though I am fond of dirt bikes, I do appreciate a fine road bike.

Review: The drummer was over the top very showy outrageous lots of hand work and twirling of the sticks he was fan fukking tastic, loud completely on time, and just like a style I haven't seen in awhile. Kicked the sh!t out of the drums in a great way.

Vince was -GREAT- there were a few missed lyrics his voice was great he was probably a sharp as I have ever seen him. Lots of Motley, the new bands tunes were good and the CD will probably be worthy...? I don't even know if it's out..lol

The girls were everywhere 50% of the crowd and hot.

The Guitar and bass were good but the Drummer and Vince stole the show.

Only half of the venue was sold maybe a 1000 people the booze lines were a drag and outside of the doors of the venue. You could miss two tunes getting booze it sukked.

3 dead in north Phoenix motorcycle crash (http://www.azcentral.com/community/northvalley/articles/2010/03/25/20100325phoenix-motorcycle-crash-abrk.html)

I PM'ed Petes Brother after hearing about this this morning and he is fine.

I am not the sort to truly worry, but I am not down with riders getting creamed .

After I heard about this I was doing some research and found a discussion topic to late and perhaps not a help at all.

The dealio is you can place a flashing switch on your bike and without taking your hand off the break lever or pedal, this switch will flash on and of in a random way, not always the same, fast, then slow, then two dashes then a long dash, then three dots, like Morse Code.

So a group of bikes would look very "standoutish" and very few wouldn't "Notice" them...I have spent many a tense moment eyeing my rear view sweating clicking my break lever on and off, wether or not whoever is barreling up on my bike, at this light is going to stop or push me into next week.

Do you all think this is a good thing or just another gimic that will be passed off ...Is it legal in all states I don't know right now myself.

If the security is tied into the code of your opener this sounds like a cool thing . I couldn't find that answer directly in thier FAQ section, but it seemed to be implied .I like this idea.

I just could imagine myself drinking beer and sitting up all night durring a lightning storm and watching my neighbors doors go up and down all night long and laughing my ass off. Perhaps to the tune of some CVH.

I won't ride bikes (my personal preference is 4 wheels and being surrounded by 2,000 pounds of steel), but I have always thought Harleys are the Marshall Amp of motorcycles. Have a reputation among the general public as being somewhat unreliable, but also has a reputation and a sound unlike any other bike on Earth.

Both cylinders/rods share a common crank pin, and the 45 degree angle are responsible for that. And also the vibration which causes the unreliability issues. But now they have rubber-mounted motors, and balance shafts to isolate the vibration. but it also (in my opinion) makes the bike soul-less and generic......

well, mine certainly has a soul. came about from my donated blood, sweat and tears. and i wish i could have paid a generic price for my name brand scoot. i agree that the older bikes have much more "attitude"? or "panache" if you will. couple hundred miles on a rigid panhead, and you may change your mind a bit about the rubber mounts.:tongue0011: that bein' said, my old shovelhead got all the looks while parked next to $30k choppers and baggers.

My main ride is a 57 pan in a rigid frame.. My 78 Shovel I've had for twenty five years and was my main bike for twenty. The last guy that commented on my Pan was surprised it neither a speedo, nor a Gas gauge. I have no desire to have anything newer no matter how convenient they are to ride.....

BERLIN (Reuters) – A German student created a major traffic jam in Bavaria after making a rude gesture at a group of Hell's Angels motorcycle gang members, hurling a puppy at them and then escaping on a stolen bulldozer.
German police said on Monday that after making his getaway from the Hell's Angels club, the 26-year-old dumped the bulldozer, causing a 5 km (3 miles) traffic jam near the southern town of Allershausen, local police said. He then fled to his home nearby where he was apprehended by the police.
"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hell's Angels is currently unclear," said a spokesman for local police, adding that the student had lately been suffering from depression.
The puppy was now in safe hands, the spokesman added.

No Bail For Alleged Milwaukee Biker Gang Boss
Milwaukee Man Indicted In Virginia
Posted: 2:17 pm CDT June 16, 2010

AAA
MILWAUKEE -- A federal judge in Milwaukee has denied bail for the alleged leader of a national motorcycle gang who's been indicted in Richmond, Va.
Authorities said Jack Rosga, 53, of Milwaukee, is the president of the American Outlaws Association. He was arrested early Tuesday.
He appeared in court under heavy guard, wearing a gray T-shirt and black gym shorts.
Rosga is charged with two conspiracy counts, including conspiracy to commit racketeering. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 23 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
According to the 50-page indictment, Rosga is accused of instructing other Outlaws to kidnap and shoot members of the rival Hell's Angels motorcycle gang.
Chip Burke, who is representing Rosga until Rosga is transferred to Virginia, said prosecutors might be overstating Rosga's role with the Outlaws.
The indictment said the Outlaws engaged in violent acts to gain control against rival motorcycle gangs.

is the tail light molded into the rear fender?

As far as the brake light I think you are correct. I like a longer fender with a lowered license plate, either will keep the bitch on ..lol

That is a similar route I was going with before I busted everything up. ( not my bike pictured).
I had spent about 2K bolting on Harley Parts, before the wreck, cash paid for 07 Sportster, liability insurance cancelled 5 days after wreck, by Gieco.
Purchase by me March 2007.
Wrecked April, 31 2010.
( Inherited Harley from my brothers widow....... 7 miles on speedo (drivers course miles only) he bought it to ride with the thought that the cancer that was killing him would be defeated as he rode alongside, the kansas patriot guard..)
My brother was a 2 tour VN Vet, starting in '67 and was a POW MIA bracelet wearer for 40 years. ( a MIA ke knew from highschool). He was well know within this group of people.
He never took it off.

I rode in my brothers place and in his honor, for servicemen killed in battle on about 17 missions.

I haven't wrecked since I was 17 years old and have had 4 street bikes and three offroaders...

Literally everything from every angle became fukked.
I have been thru worse but....

I posted this pic because I am thinking of getting back in the saddle.

After almost a year of recovery I can't stopped being pissed off.

I can't wait till I feel the breeze on my knees again.

Riding is the happiest I am.

I am almost to the point of realizing life happens and shit comes along with it . I have always know this but, I haven't quite yet stopped eating the shit and got to getting to the, spitting it out, and stop whining about the taste.

A whole new front end, trees and everything, handlebars etc...the list goes on.. all done and paid for out of pocket.

I need the tank repaired and painted , some turn signal stuff , and new front fender left to do. odds and ends... I am not going to ride around until all is perfect.

I found some real cool turn signal lamp assembly thingies, get this... the little chrome arm that extends your blinker light out about 4 inches away from the rear fender has 3 little red LED lights on the rear facing side of the armature.

I have been adding things to a stock sportster without trying to undermine, "stock" and without to much jazzy stuf that makes it out of it's range of looking good or wasting money.

I may also put three little black (just slightly lighter than the gloss black tank color) shamrocks on the hole locations "tank repair areas". Ghost them in . Some green overspray on the shamrocks, will only show up in strong sunlight..?
Lift my curse.

Thanks for your concern and kind words.

No No No The lens is on..... there. sorry... should have said that.

I wish I had a flood light on the back..lol I have never trusted stop lights and the people who run bikers over from behind.

I am always clicking my rear brake at people coming up on me I thought the leds would look not so loud as to be overkill ( too disco) on this simple bike, yet add some soft flair and increase my assault on those behind me.

Peace to those Arizona guys hit last year by that truck.

Ok here is the scoop...

Harley replaced the front end forks, tripple trees, handle bars etc.. then I had them perform my 5000 mile maitenance. (The hard Stuff). back in september, the bike has sat for a year under a tarp where pictured.

April 29th will allways be a day that will live in imfamy< sp) one year since wreck coming this month.

I am assembling all the bolt on stuff. in this rebuild.
The first thing I did when I bought the bike was install a lowered liscence plate new pegs bull horn highway pegs new grips etc on the bike. They saved the motor and most of the bike from complete destruction.

I need a new front fender one more tail light turn w lens a new side panel ( temp fix in pics) and some mirrors I am almost there.

My despondancy is still rampant but time is working it's majic on me a perhaps one day I will get the fukk on with whattever the fukk it all means .

Fix it and heal from within Peace Out Bitchez!

Here is 5 days after at the impound lot 560.00 ugg! just for that. With some repairs pictured. Heating of steel brackets for pegs.I used the vise as a press then beat the shit out of the brackets on basement floor with the ball peen hammer.

Ok here is even more, poop, scoop or just plain nobody gives a frikk.

I decided I didn't like the LED'S that run along the backside of the turnsignal support arm.

Harley and perhaps most bikes the turn signals are just for turning they are not constant, running lights that intensify with breaking usage and stay on for additional rear light visual. Plus they were yellow or orange like the front.

So, I was looking around and found this simple kit plug in and it came with red lenses.

65.00$ from HD dealer.

Now my, "rear only" turn signals are on all the time along with my rear fender brake running light.

And they are red and seem to operate just fine they increase intensity when break or turn indicators are applied.

It was all just interuptin a six pin connecter under the seat and snapping on some groovy new red lenses.

We<( Voices in my thomeheadbrain) shall see if it perhaps this "less intensifies" my electrical system or over taxes it's abilities,k I doubt it. Plus there is a warning on the paperwork about state laws reguarding red turn signal legality ..WTF..I found nothing on the net about it...?

Hate To Love Me..... and Vote Vegetable in 2012.

I ordered my new mirrors Saturday they should be here by Wednesday I hope.

I have 2 1/2 inch black electrical tape covering the dents in the top of my tank from the handlebars.

I also have set up to have those repaired and painted a custome bike build shop north of the river,
along with a new front fender but money is tight again.

My 88 YZ 600 is under the blue tarp in the picks needs a new ignitor unit I may work on that this spring also.

If my new business veture fails I may be hitting the jiggalo circuit.

I couldn't get back in time to correct my typo..so i did a little research to find a page about my old bike, under tarp.

I usually tell people it is a YZ or FZ (Fazer) because the bike I have is semi rare.

No one has heard of a YX. I have skuffled with bike nuts who know more than me that a YX600 ever existed.

This motor was the favorite of many a drag bikepro it will ride a wheelie as long as you want.

Mine is black with gold top motor accents.

Nice balance.

I paid 2,100 $ a feww hundred to much in 1992 with 3000 original miles like new garaged by former owner.

4 or 5 years ago I said to my best bud on the way back from deer hunting trip, he was driving...hey you know we need... to buy a couple garage sale enduro bikes like 250 elsinors or kawasiki 100's, like.... when we were kids and hit the woods and do some cross country just for the fun of it, haul them in my van go for a day trips and get some air...he sais.. at our age we need 4 wheelers for off road stuff...smart guy it's the getting back up that isn't the same anymore.

I could see myself trying that canyon ride in above post I mean the g-forces at speed are holding that guy to the cliff edge, it just couldn't go wrong...ouch check my balls at the door..lol.

this is exceptionally lame :(

The question for jurors was whether Michael Jakscht was impaired by methamphetamine when he plowed his dump truck into a line of motorcyclists, killing four and injuring five.

If they determined he was impaired, then Jakscht would be guilty of four counts of manslaughter, five counts of aggravated assault and two counts of endangerment.

If not, he would have to be found not guilty.

Because all of the deaths and injuries took place in the same instant, he was either guilty on all counts or not guilty of any.

I am at a loss here ...<?I am sure dipshit has made a apology I just haven't seen it in print.. I don't get that.

His statement about the testing positive statements, are/ is attorney standard bullshit that is for sure.

I doubt dipshit was out for vengence on the motorcycle riders, but damn who drives drunk and on Meth..?

I do know businesses sometimes ask to much of truckers, paying them by the load, not the hr ,,, motivates unsafe behavior, for money.

He should get a few years for this..no doubt. I could find him guilty even though I doubt he was intent of this history he ruined for so many people.

First off he is going to be fine, as fine as one can be..?

Thursday, of this week he was traveling down a state highway signaling to turn left into a driveway of a friend when the car, he sais he knew was behind him, suddendly appeared in the corner of his left eye.

Jesse said on the phone this morning (friday) on the Johhny Dare radio program here in KC....I saw myself flying up higher in the air alongside my motorcycle ...It seems the car behind him had decided to pass him ( estimated at 70 mph) while Jesse turned left and struck him and his bike tearing the front end off his prized 1994 Harley Davidson.

Jesse said the crash bars he had installed saved his leg and that they were bent all the way forward towards the front forks of the motorcycle.

He has a broken leg, road rash and I may be correct here also a broken foot..he was somewhat groggy on the radio this morning resting at home after being released from a local Alabama hospital.

Johnny Dare and him are old buds and Jesse is schedualed to play a closing concert show with his band Jackyl, at the Kansas Speedway, ARCA (stockcar) night race, here in KC next Friday night. Johnny asked him,. ...are we still on for next friday, what with you being all busted up it may be to much to soon, all in fun,( I am sure Dare would want Jesse to do what is best at this time) Jesse replied ..you calling me a pussy..lol

So, best wishes to Jesse, get well soon . Ride On.

It feels to me to be self serving to place this Dupree / Jackyl stuff in here, it should be in music, but this is about the wreck..here how it go..(you folks could probably give a shit) ...here how it go...

Jesse got into KC yesterday afternoon, seems he has been running non-stop since the wreck last thursday. Dare took him to a orthopedic office, afternoon yesterday, crushed foot big hole nasty, perhaps infected, broken leg, wrist fractures. Seems the Suburban that caught him fucked him up good. He is going to play the show tonight and I am going to go see this showman!! He was in the studio this morning with Dare and the rest of Jackyl and (Darryl) DMC of RUN-D-MC. I can't wait for this fucking show!!

I admire his spirit, I layed down and stayed down after my incident, cause I am cry fucking baby,........ allllreeet!

I'll get some pics and post tomorrow if they turn out good.

If anyone want to say high to me there. I will be the dude, "over there" with the black t-shirt blue jeans and a leather jacket, cycle boots, and the long hair.

I am dissapointed greatly..I am going to write a little....you can look the details up yourselves or I am sure it will be broadcast again.

Biker Build Off Competirion.

Paul Sr....(you know who he is) Built a lay down prone trac vehicle that should have been disqualified due to the fact it was a unridable uncontrollable abortion of a single seat machine that is supposed to go forward and transport a indivudual...He got third place ..should have been left off the stage as it wasn't a motorcycle at all.

Paul Jr. Built a rolling abortion that I wasn't sure if a bunch of clowns were going to jump out of it.. like that tiny car at the circus that has like 50 clowns in it ...you see they are not in it, it is a joke and a trick..(like most of his bikes window pieces thaqt sit without fuel or air in the tires in the lobby of some business)
Or it would have fit nice on top of a gay bikers frisco wedding cake..truly unridable art piece ugly and was a something ,what I don't know, in the eye beholder
of the fruitcake...He won the contest I don't really mean to slam gays here but you know the clown shitty wierd thing that makes you say, That's Gay!. Like Liberaces closet.

Jesse James World famosactual bike builder who has built MOTORCYCLES BY HAND hand forged 90% of this true work of machinery himself,
that are still on the streets and will be for 100 years buit a beautiful cycle that put the other "bikes"? to shame.
..he came in second.

To the point this was a internet vote thing as as i mentioned in my first sentence the world is comprised of douchebags jaggoffs who don't ride and are obviously retarded..but it was probably all a set up to get people to watch a show It was however a robery of my abiulity to believe that most of the world is comprised of goddamned shit head fuck stump assholes Fuck You All Very Much..that voted or changed the outcome in the production booth.....you,mother fuckers.

Nothing is more anti-chopper than a corporate chopper. Every time I have watched that show they are just pretty much taking off the shelf parts, modifying them, and assembling a chopper. Nothing really exciting there.

You could move sheet steel, steel tubing, and some aluminum sheet into Jesse James shop and he would take those raw elements and make a bike out of them. I think that's over the ability of the Tuttles.

The guys that always impressed me were the ones who could not only build their own frame and shape sheet metal but actually make engine parts or highly modify engines themselves. Also the guys who really could build something cool with minimum equipment out of basically nothing. Billy Lane was good at that. Burt Munro has to be the king of making something out of nothing.

( don't read all this crap I wrote, have a simple great couple posts, there and one day i will..lol)

Someday I will .
I had a job once where I drove all around most of this country 25K miles a year ( truckers do over 100 so I was knocking it out but not in thier league) N & S Dakota were in my territory ,it was all 55mph out my window, but it was all business no time to hang around,. I want to see that again one day just cruise it on a good cycle made for long miles . Maybe this time I won't be spending my nights checking the, local talent, as much.. and look around at the scenery some more.

You hit the nail on the head with your post about the build off. I knew Jesse and Sr. knew how to play the game of trash talk psyke out. Junior seemed, like allways that beating his dad was all that mattered. That is a ok family dynamic the son should try to excel, but I sometimes think the only reason Jr. does certain things on the show is so his wife can get some face time. All this jazz about finding your own road and your better than Sr. started about the time he met his now wife. She peeks around corners on camera, like, where's waldo, all the time...wierd..lol?

I can hardly watch the show anymore.. I still think Sr. builds the better bike. OCC builds a line of choppers and old school bikes everyday for public purchase so Jesse's comments just rolled off his shoulders. Jr. is just building cake toppers.

I am not justifying his tragic come to jesus but that dude may have had the wind knocked so far out of his sails he may flounder for a long time after his release, he is a gigantic talent on the verge of real acclam when he had his wreck.

What the fuck was Senior thinking giving the green light to his goofball design guy's snowmobile design in the first place? They put themselves out of the running from the start by not even building a motorcycle. If Senior had any brain cells left in his skull he would have fired that hack a long time ago, and especially when he come up with a design for an electric powered snowmobile with flamethrowers for a custom MOTORCYCLE build off. I actually do think he is a very creative, in a loud ultra super glam sorta way and there is room for that much like Lady Gaga he is targeting a demographic that needs filling.

Ok to the point: There is huge money in theme bikes and he in my OP is The King,(see his crown in the Jr trademark).. companies want something to write off thier taxes that costs big bucks and stimulates interest in thier logo and products, advertising to show thier employees that they are into a relationship that also has a wow cool factor it is a win, win.

They at thier young age have shit more money that I have made in the last 35 years of working and it is a decent respected business field .\

I liked Jr's Cadillac bike. He owned OCC at the unveiling with that bike. OCC's bike was boring, bland, and uninspired. There's another instance in which Jason Tool should have been fired on the spot, granted, that it's not likely that OCC could have come up with anything that would have come close to matching the sheer awesomeness of Jr's bike, even with a guy that could actually design motorcycles. OCC lost their creative edge when Jr left, and have rarely built a decent looking bike since. Most of Jason's designs are cookie cutter and all look like a variation of the same basic bike design.

Great couple of posts.

Larry once said he was proof prison can reform a person. He got sent to prison for armed robbery and learned his metal working skills in the prison metal shop. He said he absolutely loved it and when he got out of the big house he applied those skills to make his living. There are always going to be the people who won't fit into the cookie cutter society we have. They need something different to make a living whether that is making rock and roll music or building custom bikes. When they do it well people admire what they can do and envy their freedom. Not too many people really pull it off.

In a way I'm glad the poor economy has killed the chopper fad. It was getting too Sammy Hagar fake. It was getting too gay. People will forget about it and the real deal guys like Jesse will continue to make cool shit while the Johnny come lately cake decorators drop off and do something else. I had a friend who owned a Harley and rode it before they were cool. He caught shit for it and was the target of lots of jokes. Then the Hollywood in crowd starts riding them and everyone wanted them. Then it became Disney. It will go back to it's roots.

He is not the original painter of this very famous bike after sanding he will paint on a different logo, that of JR design shop..WTF!!

This is a very famous bike that may have been worth 100K with all the name / show and fame associated.

JR is having the cycle raped and repainted since he got it from senior as part of thier attorney negotatiated settlement. Jr asked for the bike as part of the "value placed" in thier arrangement to stop suing each other.

Here is the question: like refinishing a piece of anique furniture has Jr ruined this piece and devalued it to suit his assinine imature ego.?

I say he has devalued it to a unapealing tragedy. I can almost gaurantee that the OCC logo was located in 4or5 places not just on a fender at the rear of bike. May also have been carved into engine parts .

There is a lot of hoopla about OCC. I don't think anything of theirs will be that collectible long-term. There just are so many choppers out there and so many builders and many better than The Tuttles. It looks like an interesting bike but I would have to see it up close and check out the welds and the over all build.

I can tell you what would be collectable out of all the guys who have been on television are the bikes Indian Larry built. Those are the real deal and built extremely well. Plus, he was an interesting character and died tragically. It's going to be the guy that builds a quality no qimmick product who is interesting himself that will stick in people's mind for years.

I agree with you completely Nitro.but this country is historically linked to what they see on TV as interesting kinda like the movies you see that you know, it sucks, but they trick you by switching camera angles every 2.7 seconds to initiate a eye response in the viewer that ..-This Is Interesting.-

So, I see a few of thier choppers and perhaps the old mans, -POW- bobber cycle (this build, very much in the Indian Larry style ) to be somewhat collectable as long as they are kept out of JR's hands. You are deffinately correct on the other builders and checking the welds. I saw this build show when it first aired and when they were tacking the webs together there were gaps in the completion of those 10gage 1/4 inch (or whattever size) round bar they used...? I always wondered if they completed those welds or just left as tacks , because of no structural support involved in this bikes webbing'ish addon parts.

Like that Kardasian chicks panties someone will want them...lol

Television actually dumbs people down. Just look at the average intelligence of society compared to the amount of televisions in homes. My sister lives in Washington state and a big storm took the power lines down. No electricity for five days. She said it was amazing how creative her kids were with no electricity and her youngest son even taught himself how to play chess. No computer games, no television. People pretty much do and follow what the TV tells them and it sets the trends. Pretty scary actually because whoever controls the media controls society and our media has been consolidated. People for the most part will actually believe the fake reality on TV more than what is actually happening.

As far as this Sr. vs. Jr. thing goes. They have to sign a contract and they have to agree to be filmed. How much reality is in that one? Both the dad and the son agree in a contract to be filmed while they supposedly won't talk with each other. It's just a soap opera on a channel that was originally set up to be educational. Of course anything educational doesn't draw ratings like a family feud duking it out. Since people who drink cheap beer and live in trailer courts watch the most TV, this is the audience they are after.

True dat..and I have found myself starring at the TV lately and then wondering what I would look like in a mirror, cause, I know the look on my face is one of pain and numb zombie brain due to this winters cabin fever ..damn I am ready for some great weather days and my knees in the fucking breeze again.
Today is looking like 70 deg and breezy but my mid day is booked so, I must restrain my need to ride. First great day in months.

P,S, On your sisters,.. back into the dark ages dilema, I hope everything wasn't to difficult winters can be harsh in that state I am sure they were prepared her situation made me think... guess what I saw, a 8 year old kid riding a bicycle down the street . I bet it has been 10 years since I have seen that lol..? 90% of my childhood my dad called me the second story man because I was in for lunch and dinner and not seen around the home any other times plus I would sneek out at night and shimmy down the drain pipe to see my little sweety ( he would hear me creeping across the roof) He was a tollerant saint when it came to me jeez.. I wish kids would be outside more but I guess everyone is affaid of the boogins what with what is all over the TV and those fucking predator assholes.

Too many words. Can't you just make it into a video so I can watch what you said on my TV?

I really haven't watched TV since Seinfeld ended and the first couple seasons of Survivor. I'm always on the computer. I'll have the news on or a prison show on in the background just to keep me company. Don't really pay attention until something big comes across like when Bin laden was killed.

Oh, I also have King Of The Hill and South park on in the background. Seen all the episodes 10 times each, but again...just the TV on keeps me company when on the computer.

Great bike there Headly 1984 I haven't ridden many Kawasakis,

Yamaha and Honda and Suziki have been the makers I have found myself riding most.

There was this bud of mine (older brother of a close friend) I was perhaps 14 and the brother was 17. He had a kawa 900 probably a 1974, he put a longer front end on it it was maybe 3 inches longer didn't change the frame just wanted a longer front end for wheelies.

He would put me on the back for balance cause I was skinny and stupid or fearless..lol and get out on the highway pop a smooth wheelie at about 85 mph lightly role the throttle on wham we were up high, and we would ride that for miles..insane..!

He said I was there for balance I think he was just trying to scare me. He taught me how to ride one, for distance, dude was a great rider.

Japanes bikes really changed the game, world wide, they are fine machines.

Ride on....Don't wheelie falling off aint the same anymore...lol

What the fuck was Senior thinking giving the green light to his goofball design guy's snowmobile design in the first place? They put themselves out of the running from the start by not even building a motorcycle. If Senior had any brain cells left in his skull he would have fired that hack a long time ago, and especially when he come up with a design for an electric powered snowmobile with flamethrowers for a custom MOTORCYCLE build off. I think Senior has truly lost his mind in the last couple of years.

Such a thing is cool if you are in first grade. I actually like the motorcycle builders that can make something out of nothing. They don't have all the fancy tools and the big shop. They can do a lot with a welder and a torch. If you are going to be fancy then you need to start making some engine or transmission components to impress me. I think that's why I always liked Indian Larry and Billy Lane. I always thought it was cool how those guys were creative thinking outside of the box and putting something together without having to have a water jet or CNC machine.

What's cool about motorcycles is you can get a lot of performance without breaking the bank. It would cost a lot of money to get the kind of performance you can get out of a bike from a car and even at that, a car is never going to do what a bike can. Then of course it's just nice to cruise in the open air. Riding a bike is the closest thing you are going to get to flying.

Take a proper motorcycle course, wear the safety equipment, don't start out with too much bike at first and earn your horsepower and don't be stupid. A motorcycle is the cheapest and easiest to maintain thrill on the planet. Not too many things you can store in such little space and have so much fun on.
