LOL ... my son in law was questioning the fish for weeks. We took a while before letting him on it was a shiner! The only fish that ended up on a hook that day!

That puppy right there would be the black ribbon-tailed Power Worm, rigged with a weight for control in the current and two beads for sound production to alert fish of its presence in "stained" water. (psst...pssst...come a little closer....they never fail, but don't let the secret out. ;) )

I know why they say "crazy as a loon." I watched two of these birds eat a bunch of baby cottonmouths last summer. It was one of the few times I didn't have my camera with me. Those snakes were coiling around their beaks while the loons was trying like hell to swallow. As soon as they would get one down, they would dive down and bring back another one. Crazy fuckers, indeed!

I haven't found any that want to play! They'll chew your arm off if you can catch them as they usually haul ass first chance they get! If you live on a lake or river around here and have a small child or dog ... ya have to keep an eye on 'em!:mad:

It's a State Park so I'm not sure fishing is allowed. It would be really eay as the water is always crystal clear and very cold. You can see the fish swimming by! The three hour trip is a good relaxing time!

Here is a little statement.... going hunting and drinkin whiskey all night with some bros getting up at 3am walking to my stand with the minimal light ice cold morning and trying to be all quiet flask in one pocket, rifle under arm, climing the stand and sitting there watching the sun come up in total silence is as much fun as a guy can have sometimes... even if no deer walk by.

Some asshole thought a gator would be a good pet for a while then let it go in the river where my friends' children play in the water.
