Skynyrd, absolutely.
I was sick of them 20 years ago.

I'm not tired of AC/DC, but I wish the radio station would quit playing the same two or three songs from them over and over again! You know, "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Back In Black", and "Highway To Hell". As for Skynard, I never cared for them noways.

I've been sick of Skynyrd since the eighth grade...
Fuck, I guess that was 1982...
But anyway i just got ahold of a Skynyrd show from 1975 and it's fucking phenomenal...
I ain't gonna run out and re-invest in their catalouge, but I will listen to the show for a while.

The Skynyrd songs worn out on the radio are just ruined,"nothin' fancy"is a fantastic album. As far as AC/DC goes,I can't remember the last time I heard anything off "Powerage" on the radio.....

I'll never get tired of the original lineup of either band. Brian Johnson I can handle in limited doses, but the Skynyrd tribute band - no thanks.

I never listen to the radio so i am not burnt on anything. I don't let asshole spin jockey's dictate to me what i hear, lol.

Besides, two days ago the local station here started a rumor that Ozzy was dead, that pissed me right off...

They play "Free Bird" here just about every day. In fact I remember the same station playing it twice within 24 hours. I'm not tired of Skynyrd, but I am tired of that song and "Sweet Home Alabama."

And as far as AC/DC goes, it's always "You Shook Me All Night Long," "Highway to Hell, and "Back in Black." And now lately they've been on a "For Those About To Rock" kick. Not much '70s stuff, or even the more recent stuff like "Big Gun" or "Hard As a Rock."

Yeah and with Floyd it's the SAME fucking songs from the SAME three albums--Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, and of course The Wall. I'm so tired of "Another Brick in the Wall"!!!!

I don't listen to the radio either.

Nowadays with all these crappy bands like Good Charlotte, Linkin Park - not to mention the Brittney's and JZ's etc - if I were to get tired of good dick in the dirt bands like Skynyrd and AC/DC, the there'd be nuthin left.

Don't listen to the radio!

Here's a song that won't ever be played on the radio in Alabama!

"Play it all night long"
By Warren Zevon

Grandpa pissed his pants again
He don't give a damn
Brother Billy has both guns drawn :elvis:
He ain't been right since Vietnam

"Sweet home Alabama"
Play that dead band's song
Turn those speakers up full blast
Play it all night long

Daddy's doing Sister Sally :sex:
Grandma's dying of cancer now
The cattle all have brucellosis
We'll get through somehow

"Sweet home Alabama"
Play that dead band's song
Turn those speakers up full blast
Play it all night long

I'm going down to the Dew Drop Inn
See if I can drink enough :gulp:
There ain't much to country living
Sweat, piss, jizz and blood :uck:

"Sweet home Alabama" :bottle:
Play that dead band's song
Turn those speakers up full blast
Play it all night long

I guess I'll answer the question in terms of live in concert...

Skynyrd is always a decent show, even better if they aren't promoting a new album.... I always enjoy "Freebird" live....

Now as for AC/DC, they are one of the few major rock groups that I never got a chance to see live, mostly due to my time stationed overseas.... I'm gonna make a road trip on their next tour, even if it means I have to see that bastard Pojo again in person..... ;)

After listening to AC/DC for years on the radio I still don't know what they are saying

"Back in black.. I hit the sack"
Ok then what is the mumbling after that.
I can't understand what they are saying...

Here ya' go Sarge. May you be confused no more.

Back in black
I hit the sack
I've been too long I'm glad to be back [I bet you know I'm...]
Yes, I'm let loose
From the noose
That's kept me hanging about
I've been looking at the sky
'Cause it's gettin' me high
Forget the hearse 'cause I never die
I got nine lives
Cat's eyes
Abusin' every one of them and running wild

CHORUS:
'Cause I'm back
Yes, I'm back
Well, I'm back
Yes, I'm back
Well, I'm back, back
(Well) I'm back in black
Yes, I'm back in black

Back in the back
Of a Cadillac
Number one with a bullet, I'm a power pack
Yes, I'm in a bang
With a gang
They've got to catch me if they want me to hang
Cause I'm back on the track
And I'm beatin' the flack
Nobody's gonna get me on another rap
So look at me now
I'm just makin' my play
Don't try to push your luck, just get out of my way

CHORUS

Well, I'm back, Yes I'm back
Well, I'm back, Yes I'm back
Well, I'm back, back
Well I'm back in black
Yes I'm back in black

hooo yeah
Ohh yeah
Yes I am
Oooh yeah, yeah Oh yeah
Back in now
Well I'm back, I'm back
Back, I'm back
Back, I'm back
Back, I'm back
Back, I'm back
Back
Back in black
Yes I'm back in black

Out of the sight

AC/DC.....not a band that can touch them!....been around for years....still play for over 2 hours a show....totally predictable set of songs....refuse to feel they 'want to try something new' on their 'next album cos they know they have a very simple formula that works....sold millions of albums.....NEVER on the radio in the U.K.....NEVER on T.V over here either!!....rarely do they do any interviews.... you never see them at any award ceromonies...yet they are still one of the most popular bands in the entire world....there isnt another band that will match them as far as im concerned.....it doesnt matter which bands we listen to....we always and i mean ALWAYS go back to listening to AC/DC....it maybe a week...month or even a year....no other rock band has that effect....i rest my case!

I was talkin to a buddy who works in one of those overpriced boutiques that sells baggy pants, snowboards, hoodies etc - geared towards kids. Anyway, he said that for christmas a there was an overwhelming number of moms comin in askin for AC/DC shirts cause their 12 year old kids are becoming AC/DC freaks.

That is a very good thing if you ask me!
