All of the reviews are glowing of this amp!
I want to try one out..
Has anyone got a chance to give one a test drive?

I know that people are mad about them at Harmony Central. I checked them out at MusikMesse last year and was not convinced. On the other hand, the price they´re going for now is OK.

Are you going to Musikmesse in April?

I missed it last year and want to go this year.

The Line6-made Bogner is close to that price, if you're looking to take a risk on subpar componentry. $1000 eu list, I know 2x the price of the Egnater however Reinhold Bogner has taken special care to control the quality of production, testing of the tubes, and then they're qc'd pretty good once they get to LA before shipping.

I know there's a guy named Egnater but I haven't seen him. I'm sure he's done the same effort but the price gap between the chinese Bogners and the chinese Egnaters for basically what seems to me of similar specifications and sound ranges, but it's not when you buy that you have a problem it's when you throw the head in the back of a pickup, when it needs maintenance, when it fails to operate after running for the 11th month/28th day of the warranty that cheap foreign labor becomes a problem.

I would push for trying out the Bogner before making a decision on one of the little ampheads or combos.
