OKC officer pulls man over for anti-Obama sign on vehicle

http://www.newsok.com/okc-officer-pulls-man-over-for-anti-obama-sign-on-vehicle/article/3347038?custom_click=headlines_widget

An Oklahoma City police officer wrongly pulled over a man last week and confiscated an anti-President Barack Obama sign the man had on his vehicle.

The officer misinterpreted the sign as threatening, said Capt. Steve McCool, of the Oklahoma City Police Department, and took the sign, which read "Abort Obama, not the unborn."

Chip Harrison said he was driving to work when a police car followed him for several miles and then signaled for him to pull over.

''I pulled over, knowing I hadn't done anything wrong," Harrison said in a recent phone interview.

When the officer asked Harrison if he knew why he had been pulled over, Harrison said he did not.

''They said, 'It's because of the sign in your window,'" Harrison said.

I seem to remember some guy being hauled off to prison a few years ago because he made a passing reference to the biblical "burning bush" in a bar, and some idiot interpreted it as a "threat" against Chimpy.

This particular bumper sticker is more a sign of terminal fucking stupidity than it is an actual threat against the President. But that cartoon in the Murdoch Post was clearly over the line and old man Rupert should be pressured to fire that piece of shit racist.

Agree with you on the "Picasso of Prejudice"'s cartoon, and that the ape-jokes are beyond old and lame.

But that idiot's Bumper sticker IS calling for the abortion of a full-grown adult...not a fetus, so I can see how it can be viewed as an implied threat...

Oh, I hear ya. The thing is, where did this sticker come from? Did the guy make it himself, was it readily available in a store or more tellingly, from some sort of "rights-group"? If the latter is the case, perhaps some effort should be spent upon tracking the source of the material, if it proves to be beyond merely one individual with a color printer.

Every reference of the chimpanzee incident ignores the fact that the chimpanzee is the bigest victim of all.

The chimpanzee apparently was defending the woman who owned him, who he saw as his mother. Normal chimpanzee behavour apparently is to protect it's kin when it perceives a threat. That dumb cunt treated the chimp lke a human, and allegedly had the chimp on xanax............

I'm sick and tired of animals being treated as an after thought. Any animal that is hurt or dies becuase of humans is a victim, and moreso because the animal can't control it''s situation.

Now, the so-called victim was horribly mauled....but it ain't the chimps fault. And in reading the story, the woman in a way provoked the chimp with her cooing of it and flaunting of a fucking stuffed animal like the chimp was a baby........

It's at the very end. The asshat racist tool John Gibson talks about Eric Holder and his blue scrotum. In other words, Holder's a monkey.

FORD gets fooled again by an Internet hoax he and other Lefties desperately WANT to believe.

From the Huffington-Puffington Post
John Gibson Did Not Compare Eric Holder To Monkey With Bright Blue Scrotum
Gibson Correction, Huffington Post John Gibson, Media News

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/02/19/john-gibson-compares-eric_n_168377.html

The Huffington Post has learned that the below video has been doctored. We regret the error and apologize to Mr. Gibson. John Gibson never compared Eric Holder to a monkey with a bright blue scrotum.

Rather, as seen in the unedited video below, Gibson played audio of Holder saying "nation of cowards" -- so his full, unedited remarks were:

"We were talking about Eric Holder today on the radio and his comment that this is a nation of cowards."

The video was doctored to include Trace Gallagher's voice saying, "bright blue scrotum" where Gibson played Holder's "nation of cowards" remark. The Huffington Post does not know the source of the video's doctoring — it was picked up off TVNewser.

See the unedited video below:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YEVzFDm4hTI&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YEVzFDm4hTI&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

The Huffington Post regrets the error. -- Alex Leo and Danny Shea

Original (inaccurate) item below: At the end of a long and pointless conversation between two Fox News reporters covering a zoo escape, John Gibson compared Attorney General Eric Holder to a monkey.

A monkey escaped from the Woodland park Zoo in Seattle and despite the fact that authorities are "taking this very seriously," Julie Banderas and Harris Faulkner were not, cracking jokes about the monkeys' bright blue scrotum.

At 2:48, they toss to John Gibson who complains that he can't get away with saying "bright blue scrotum" on the radio then follows that up by saying, "We were talking about Eric Holder today on the radio and his bright blue scrotum."

Anyone with 1/2 a brain (and who can read) can see the cartoon is aimed at the authors of the bill. Not JUST the signer.

From the New York Post
"Wednesday's Page Six cartoon - caricaturing Monday's police shooting of a chimpanzee in Connecticut - has created considerable controversy.

It shows two police officers standing over the chimp's body: "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill," one officer says.

It was meant to mock an ineptly written federal stimulus bill.

Period.

But it has been taken as something else - as a depiction of President Obama, as a thinly veiled expression of racism.

This most certainly was not its intent; to those who were offended by the image, we apologize.

However, there are some in the media and in public life who have had differences with The Post in the past - and they see the incident as an opportunity for payback.

To them, no apology is due.

Sometimes a cartoon is just a cartoon - even as the opportunists seek to make it something else."

So what? The Post issues a short note explaining what they already new was a needlessly inflammatory editorial cartoon, yet this is makes everything better? Wrong. Whether you agree or not, people were hurt by the stupid thing, from a newspaper of all things. Yep, a newspaper that like all others in this country has watched it's sales and revenue plunge with the advent of the internet. So in order to sell a handful more copies than usual, it allowed this senseless (and not very funny) cartoon to run as some sort of editorial, then stands behind the rather shaky notion of "journalistic ethics" to support the decision when they get called on the insensitivty and exploitation. What totally deplorable, utter nonsense. This cynical currupting of people's sensitivities is equally as offensive (not to mention petulantly moronic) as referring to the leader of the free world as Adolf Hitler.

The above political cartoons, while I'll agree as someone that didn't like el presidente "decider" Bush, that they are a bit over the top hyperbole. But they are not THREATS!

You do not have the legal right to use speech to make threats, especially not the President, then hide behind it as free speech. You can argue that maybe it was political satire, but even satire that implies a specific advocation of violence to over turn what was a free and fair democratic election is pretty dubious and the providence of complete fascist idiots...

What about that notion do you not fucking understand? No offense, but sometimes I see the absurdity of your posts and seriously wonder if you have a learning disability or an inability to process basic facts...
