MUSIC - I like to listen to some jazzier, loungey stuff like John Legend sometimes. Or old poppy crapola like The Hollies.

TELEVISION - I have every episode of The Rockford Files, Seinfeld, and The West Wing on DVD, and will pop in a disc and watch back-to-back episodes even though I could probably recite the scripts I've seen them so many times

FAST FOOD - I steer away from fast food like the plague, but LOVE the fish tacos at Taco Del Mar. Crack cocaine in a tortilla.

MOVIES - Anything with Tom Cruise in it. Before you yell FAG!, think about some of these classics: A Few Good Men, The Firm, Days of Thunder, The Last Samauri. - Yes, he's a fucking TOOL, but the fucker is in some of my favorite guilty pleasure movies.

ALCOHOL - Other than being a beer snob, I have to admit I love the occasional Smirnoff Ice, on ice, on a hot day. Now you can yell FAG!

JUNK FOOD - Tim's Salt and Vinegar potato chips, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Uber:Fag!!!

SHOPPING - I love thrift stores for kitchy items for my bar in our music room. Old lamps, beer signs, shot glasses.

I feel so much better having gotten that off my chest. :tongue0011:

Music: Men At Work / Colin Hay solo. Seen him several times at small venues. Mellow stuff somewhat like what Sting tried to do, but much better.

TV: King Of The Hill. Hank Hill is my favorite Republican.

Fast Food: McDonalds Deluxe Breakfast Platter. For the same price I could go to a sit-down place, but something about a big breakfast in the car listening to the morning radio show.

Shopping: Ugh, have to admit Wal-Mart. I like to go and fill a cart with everything from dog treats, to shorts, to fishing lures. Can never get out of there for under $100.

Alcohol: When I go on the cheap, I go for regular old Miller High Life. None of the genuine draft, dry or ice stuff. Just old school stuff my Dad probably drank.

Internet: I like to post at a website dedicated to a 70's/80's rock band singer with ADD.

I have no real 'guilty' pleasures. But here goes anyway.

Music: Big fan of Sammy's solo stuff, barring the ballads and a few albums this decade and in the 80s.

Shopping: Hate the crowds and the effort. It's ok if it's a huge rare cd/record store.

Alchohol: Currently only like wine, gone off beer, whisky, bourbon, cognac atleast temporarily. Never liked gin, vodka, cider, rum.

Movies: Big Polanski fan.

Internet: Looking at 14 year old girls should be normal.

in the world !!

SHOPPING - I fucking hate shopping. Unless its for something cool like a new
50" plasma or Blu Ray player.....

MUSIC - I love big band (i.e. Glen Miller). One of the best concerts I ever saw was Andy Williams.

TELEVISION - I've been hooked on a British Soap for years - Coronation Street I watch it every day, and then the re-runs on Sunday mornings. I'm also a huge Family Guy fan.

FAST FOOD - 3 or 4 times a year I allow myself to give in to my craving for poutine from NY Fries.

MOVIES - I hardly have time to watch movies anymore. I hate chick flicks, and I secretly love a good porn.

JUNK FOOD - Whole grain tortilla chips with Spinach dip...mmmmm.... Chocolate lava cakes.

SHOPPING - Hate it. Hate spending money. Buy most of my clothes second-hand because I think clothing prices are stupid.

ABBA actually composed real music and played it live.
Years before the taylors stumbled across their first
programmable sequencer. And to be honest, the chicks who
sang for ABBA were hot, they blew away the chicks
that sang for Duran Duran !

Oh yeah, and this is not properly composed music?

There's one synth the rest is organic and they used less synths than Abba and it didn't sound cheesy *most* of the time. Their guitarist played for Zappa, he could play every Zap song ever recorded, he's in the same league as Vai. I can post examples of that.

MOVIES - Historical fiction...wow...that hurts

ALCOHOL - Jack...and Ginger ale...otherwise known as a "High Ball"...Coke rips my guts up if I'm drinking it all night

Reading romance novels is a guilty pleasure - not just any random romance because if the characters are too sex-crazed or the story is PG-13 or the dialogue is corny or the locale is not described in a way to be visualized, I'm bored. And most importantly, if the cover features a semi-dressed man, I don't even pick up the book. I draw the line there because it's too damn embarrasssing to be seen holding such a book in my hand.

I also like the Whopper, but only allow myself to get one Jr. Whopper after months and even years of deprivation. Now that they have 2-pk burger shots for $1.49, I can get my fix without the self-loathing afterwards.

This post cracked me up. Great stuff.

That word is thrown around most by those who don't like to hear the truth. (Not surprising you see eye to eye with Links). I make my case more intelligently than so called non-trolls and anyone with sense can see that.

I know this place is a mostly liberal hangout. The thing here as it is with most liberals is that censorship is not practised officially (that would make them like the evil conservatives), so then the only option is for people like Lounge to try shout people down and take over the whole discussion if he can. It's actually amusing to see this tactic at work wherever it is.

MUSIC - Alright, alright... So I guess ya could call this a guilty pleasure: French dance music, aka "house music", aka "disco 2K".

You know, stuff like Daft Punk's "Crescendolls".

Why, you might ask?

'Cause these DJ's have a vast collection of old school R'n'B/funk/soul/latin jazz 45's they've taken samples from, and some of these guys actually know how to make a catchy tune. Especially if they're in the same vein as, say, Vangelis, Giorgio Moroder or the guy who did the Beverly Hills Cop Theme.

There also seems to be a "you must at least look fuckable" attitude associated with the females related to this genre, but that's a moot point, I guess...
Sure, they might look sleazy to some, but my eyes (and other parts) thank them for it.

MUSIC -
Disco oldies, Techno.

TELEVISION -
Desperate Housewives

FAST FOOD -
Very rarely but once (or twice) a year, a "Poutine"; French fries, curd cheese and gravy layered in a bowl... 3,000 calories and 2 days to digest but MMMmmmm....

MOVIES -
Anything with Johnny Depp... Because he is so cool and picks up his own movies to play in, I will listen (and like) anything, even if it's not good! No objectivity there.

ALCOHOL -
Smirnoff Ice (newly, the green apple one) and fruity drinks with umbrellas in them...

JUNK FOOD -
Zesty Cheese Doritos, nachos and salsa with guacamole, Costco's signature brand (Kirkland) salt/vinerar chips.

SHOPPING -
My guilty pleasure (once a year or so) is that I get in that specific shoe store, fall in love with a pair of shoes (or boots) that I TOTALLY can't afford and buy them on my credit card. Then, I come home, unwrap them carefully, put them in my feet and walk around in front of the mirror (on carpet). Feet up on the computer desk, I stare at them and enjoy how they look etc... Then I return them for a refund! It's a trip!

Nothing corny in the content, no Fabios on the covers, no Hollywood style sex craved characters but all about erotica.
And I'm pretty sure her novels are translated too...

I like pie, cherry and apple.

My favorite tv show was Lost in Space - I was always rootin' for young Will Robinson to stab at that fucker Dr. Smith in the face with an icepick.

I like Del Taco's taco nite, 3 taco's for 1.09. I eat about a dozen with the Del Scorcho hot sauce until my farts pain other people in the restaurant.

My favorite places to shoplift, they're out of business. Not because of the economy, but on account of my shopping.

I like the music of my friends, which means whoever I socialize with, that's my favorite music. And currently I'm hanging out with Cubans and Salvadoreans which means lotsa shitty horns-n-accordian musicks.

Movies: I saw slumdog millionaire last week, but since it was in the midwest, there were only 3 dumbfucks in the theatre watching it. Including me. Which was a departure because if it's not about robots, and explosions and people getting shot to pieces by zombies I'll fall asleep thru the "good" parts, pissing off my date.

Are battery acid enemas guilty pleasures if your mistress doesn't shout your guilt at you when she releases the clamp off the Bardex nozzle? Cause I've been pretty good lately..
