Fender Raising Prices

Well its been a long while since i have taken the time to post but man am i glad that the site has been back. Good times.

Anyways not sure if this has been discussed but anyone else notice that fender has spiked up their prices? Standard American Strat used to cost 999. Now the same guitar is around 1,274. Luckily i got my strat for 700 from best buy with my employee discount!!! But that was before the new prices. Any thoughts on why???

$300 isn't bad...they could have gone the GIBSON route when they had Epiphone start making the "low end" models...then double their prices!

You know, 3 years later that Russian pawnshop on Hawthorne Blvd still has the twin guitar to my Aria MSXX flying V.. the one Malmsteen endorsed in 1984, it's cream-white and still there for $200.

I just bought a Eric Johnson Rosewood Strat for 1700. It retails for 2300 now.

Right now is the time to buy a Fender Custom Shop from a dealer, before they go up as well...

Another moron trying to ruin a once great company into the ground. New Les Paul's & just about any Fender is shit !!! I go to Guitar Center just to laugh at their junk. Amps are the only thing worth a shit !! I have yet to see a new VH guitar.
