Neko Case - Middle Cyclone?

Any fans of hers? Heard it today, I don't think I like this much, she was going towards a more indie sound on Fox Confessor which I didn't enjoy either. I don't hear anything really beautiful like the songs and production on Blacklisted.

I was dating a girl who likes Neko but I only heard her solo stuff once and I don't know what CD as someone burned it for her. But I'm not a New Pornographers fan.
Do you like Robert Plant & Alison Krauss CD?

I don't like the Pornographers either, too indie for me.


Didn't hear that. I've always been underwhelmed by Plant's solo efforts (Mighty Rearranger or whatever was also hyped greatly but it wasn't interesting really) so I skipped.

It’s really hard to find anything wrong with the way Case has presented everything and it’s evident that she is only beginning to reign in all of her strengths. It’s an exceptional trait when you’ve been able to combine so many tremendous aspects into one supreme collection of songs.

I really wish I could get into her recent stuff. They sound kinda plain to my ears. I prefer her more overtly country stuff. I didn't like her newt tribute either.

A couple people I know have raved about her live shows. They got me a ticket to see her in a few weeks.

Her CDs are ok. We'll see how it goes when she's on stage.
